The Aman Venice is a unique and beautifully restored palazzo. The interiors are stunning and the modern furniture works really well as a contrast. I had a wonderful stay. The service was impeccable, meals were delicious, and my room was comfortable and palatial. The hotel feels like a real oasis within the city, while still being very conveniently located for... The Aman Venice is absolutely beautiful. One of the most luxurious hotels we have ever visited. The staff were extremely professional and warm. Our room was extraordinary and breakfast in the garden and in the stunning dining room on the second day were highlights. Take a tour to Murano on the perfectly maintained Hotel Boat. Highly recommended. The Aman Venice... More

This was our second Aman experience and was so far our favorite. It was the most gorgeous property we have ever been to! The indoor deco was sophisticatedly designed. The original historic details of Palazzo Papadopoli was preserved in a very good condition. There's no doubted that the building is one of the most stunning in Venezia. The service was... More

Stayed here for much less time than I would have liked, the hotel was absolutely beautiful. The room was so spacious with clean modern lines, and a bathroom that cannot be beat. I couldn't imagine there being anywhere else in Venice that would come close to the luxury you will find here. The grounds were picturesque with a small rooftop... More

We stayed here in June for 3 nights in a full Grand Canal view Suite in the main section of the Palazzo, Room 1. I have no words for how good this Hotel is. It is certainly the best I have ever stayed in, and would go as far as to say as it could be the best in the... More

Beautiful Room, partial view of Canal. The property is amazingly beautiful. The staff was gorgeous but lots of training needed. Lack of english comprehension, not for a place like this property. Very confused staff who misinformed us about our three day package. Food was french food size and not very good. For lunch when we were 6 people at dining... More

This review is only for the one night of dining but I felt it was special enough to write about. To start, the dining room is very beautiful and elegant with its chandeliers and frescos with modern furnishings. For dinner we all ordered the tasting menu which made for a fun experience. I can still taste one of the mushroom... More

My husband and I stayed at the Aman for four nights. I have travelled quite a lot in my life and I can honestly say that this is probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. It is not cheap by any means but the staff, service, location and hotel are worth every penny. The staff made... More

Started well: the concierge answered my emails promptly, made suggestions that seemed to correspond to what I wanted. The person who welcome us at the hotel gave excellent explanations of the premises and took us to the room. The disappointment started there. The room (not even a junior suite size), comfortable and well appointed, was just above standards. A bed,... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
