Venice is a wonderful city and this B and B is in a great location very close to the water taxi. It is close to the grocery store and all tourist locations. The breakfast was wonderful every day . The top floor room is beautiful with windows and a great view of life in Venice.

We had a room on the top floor and we liked it. The building is old as everything in Venice but it was comfortable and well planed. The location was good, the old town is small enough to walk everywhere using boats from time to time. The host was very helpful, he also cooked delicious breakfast. I highly recommend this... More

We had a room with a corner kitchen, which was very well stocked for equipment. The B&B itself is set in a great location, not too far from anywhere but not too close to the very touristy St Marcs square. Very easy to get everywhere from the B&B! The breakfast was great, with the fresh fruit really making it very... More

The room was a good size, had a small kitchen and nice bathroom as well as air conditioning. We could hear other guests through the walls a bit - but they were fairly quiet. The wifi was pretty bad- only the area by the door got good enough service to send anything. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the location... More

Our room was very spacious and beautiful. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. We also loved that it was close to a vaporetto stop. Francesco and Silvia were very nice hosts. We would stay here again when we come back to Venice.

We booked this location from HostelWorld having planned a trip mainly staying in hostels this was one of the first private (Just my friend and I) rooms. It was quiet, clean, and very friendly. Silva was our hostess and she was an absolute gem. The breakfast (complementary) in the mornings was so lovely, some of the best coffee we had... More

My friends and I stayed here for a weekend trip to Venice while studying abroad and loved our stay! We had a question for Francesco and he showed up to our apartment in the evening to answer our question and help us out. He went out of his way to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. We loved the... I really enjoy stay in this B&B, nice room, good service, they contacted us before our arrival to give us instuctions. It is well located, 10 min to Piazza San Marco. Staff is very kind. Rooms are comfortable.

It was our first visit to Venice. We had made many research and concluded with this b&b. I would say this is the best and we are so glad we actually chose this place to stay. Small and cozy and most importantly is so convenient. Is so near the water boat station which we don't have to carry our heavy... More

Smallish B&B located a little away from the tourist "hot spots" like the Piazza San Marco, but we didn't mind walking and loved that it was a bit more affordable. Kitchenette in room made it easy to cook simple things. We also had a minor crisis when we arrived, and the staff were super kind, letting us check in early... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
