Nice sized rooms. Clean and good sized bathrooms. Actually great A/C that kept the room cool. Only complaint - this room was booked on-line and was specifically booked for single beds. When we arrived we were given a 1 double bed and the gentleman at the desk could not or would not correct the reservation. Nice continental breakfast

Lovely hotel approximately half way between Rialto and San Marco, checkin was painless, rooms are large, loads of bars and restaurants in the surrounding streets. Ideal location for the tourist. On arrival they even give you a bottle of Prosecco and a selection of complementary drinks in the mini bar, now you can't go wrong with that....

The good: excellent location, very close to San Marco square; nice and clean room. The bad: the gentleman in the lobby is not friendly, I reported my toilet wasn't flushing properly and his answer was "I can't do anything about that"; also, the breakfast is very poor, we had to go out and buy breakfast elsewhere; finally, if you will...

We stayed at the Ca del Nobile in Venice as part of a 3 night Weekend visit. The Hotel is small (only has about 6 rooms) which is great as it is quiet. It is in keeping with the Venetian Charm so I woudln't say it is modern or luxurious but it is in keeping with its surroundings. Our room...

We stayed at B&B for three nights it's located just off the beaten track. It was just what we expected when booking it. Good clean facilities and and friendly staff. If I ever felt the need to come to Venice again I would definitely book here again.

It's located in a hidden street, near de Venchi store. We got lost to get there, but if you look at google maps it will explain it just right. It's really clost to Piazza San Marco and Ponte di Rialto. The room was quite big, and the staff were all great to us. They don't speak fluent English, but they...

The check is is a little odd, but they do a good job of emailing you and staying in touch. Google/Apple maps had no trouble finding the hotel. When we checked in the desk clerk was not very friendly. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but there was clearly an attitude. The room was well appointed for the...

Hotel is located near the central square several min walk from pier Rialto there you can buy food in local supermarket taking a astonishing look at ancient bridge. Cozy restaurant is located next door to the hotel, but it is merely quiet at night place to stay

This is a small, friendly hotel right in the middle of the St Marks region yet is so quiet. It is minutes away from the Basilica and Doges Palace, shopping and within easy walking of the Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal. The hotel is tucked away in a side street so is away from the noisy shopping streets. It...

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
