This was a real find! I spent so much time researching where to stay in Venice as never having been there before, wanted something close to St. Mark's Square (but not too close!). Corte Di Gabriela was perfect. It all started once I booked. About a week before arrival, I received an email with an overview of transportation options to get from the airport or train station (St. Lucia). I had a few questions, and they were promptly answered. The location, which is only a two-minute walk from the S. Angelo water bus stop, the low-key entrance opened to very modern accommodations. Exceptionally clean and spacious room. The front desk staff was extremely helpful. When we arrived, Massimo ushered us to our room and gave us a full tour of the room and how everything works. In all, the entire front desk staff was excellent. Very willing to help whatever we seemed to need. Pleasant and professional, always with a smile. Had a prosecco in the bar area the first night. Very charming and very reasonably priced. The water bus is very convenient. Get a pass for as many days as you are in Venice. There is a mobile app (AVM) which provides the schedules and stops for the water bus is very helpful with the most up to date times (although the app itself is flaky). Spend some time reviewing the map provided by the hotel to get familiar with the water bus stops. It will really help. The owner prepares breakfast every morning which on top of the continental offerings is quite abundant. We would definitely stay here again!

We had the pleasure of staying in the junior suite at Corte Di Gabriela for a weekend this September... the hotel is amazing, it is quietly located but close to everything. Our room was spacious and the bathroom smartly fitted out. Breakfast is delicious and served in their beautiful courtyard garden, where the proprietor - Gianluca - looks after you personally. It feels less like a hotel and more like staying at your Venetian uncle's house. Truly fantastic place in a city where hotels can often be hit and miss, 5 stars, bravissimo.

The hotel deserves all the high praise you see on Tripadvisor. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was custom prepared, in a really nice setting. People who work there try hard to make the guests comfortable. Next time in Venice, we would definitely stay there again.

Lived up to all our expectations from the excellent reviews that we read - a great choice of hotel and less than 10 minutes to the main sites Venice has to offer. We stayed in the annex canal view for six days - it’s a beautiful room with all the amenities that you could need and very spacious - relaxing on the day bed was very welcome. I would recommend the Ai Mercanti for a thoroughly enjoyable meal and is only five or six minutes from the hotel. The staff at the hotel are really helpful and friendly and Luca the owner is an amazing host for the breakfasts which are one of the best hotel breakfasts that we have experienced. A complimentary bottle of Prosecco was waiting for us in our room on the fourth night which was a lovely surprise. We got water taxi to San Angelo and it is two minutes easy walk to the hotel - a water taxi was arranged for us back to the airport so no stress or hassle and worth the cost. In conclusion we would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful place for an amazing stay in Venice

We loved the hotel and wonderful breakfasts but was dissatisfied that we had to be switched to another room for our second night stay. We were not told why either. The first room was very large and the second one crowded.

Dear Guest, we thank you very much for your review about Corte di Gabriela and we are very pleased that you enjoyed the hotel and our breakfast. As far as the room change is concerned, we would like to remind you that when you made the reservation, you chose the offer with the room change, that is clearly indicated at the moment of the reservation, and you also had a special discounted price for having chosen this rate. Furthermore, this has been reconfirmed to you at your arrival. We are very happy that you enjoyed the first room in which you have stayed. As far as the second room is concerned, we are sorry that you found it crowded, but please note that all our rooms have a measure between 20 and 27 square meters. In addition, the second room you have been assigned has a wide wardrobe room, a large bathroom of 8 square meters and a wide shell-shaped bath-tube. The room itself has a particular and unique design with a fireplace inside. We hope to have the chance to welcoming you again in future as our Guests and we hope that you will have a more positive experience next time at our boutique hotel. Our warmest regards, Gabriella and Gian Luca

A beautiful, traditional, family run boutique hotel. Position was perfect. We walked everywhere in Venice and this is an ideal spot for St Marks Square and Rialto Bridge. Caught the vaporetti to Murano and Burano which were beautiful and also to the Lido di Venezia which is worth a day to relax on its stunning beach.

This is not a typical venezia style hotel. It is very much design hotel which blend the old and the new. Everything was excellent from the curated room to personalized service. They put a lot of attention into the small details, which you won’t be able to find those in a big chain hotel. The room is very comfortable and tasteful. Hotel is a little off from the main site but it is very peaceful in morning. You wake up in the morning with made to order delicious breakfast. This hotel is definitely luxury boutique hotel!
