An amazing surprise! Lovely hotel, always clean and with central location. People who say that it was hard to find.. well, as hard as everything in Venice! But with google maps, all problems can be solved! Breakfast included, and it's a good one! Donna Anna, is an amazing lady that works there and she will put a smile on your...

We stayed for two day in December. The Hotel is very hard to find. We have wasted 2hours to find this Hotel. No sigh boards etc. Due to which we lost a day in Venice. Even the residence people are not aware of this Hotel address. If you wish to have a wonderful experience in Venice , better skip this...

This is a lovely 4 star hotel. It is well located and the hotel is clean and very well maintained. The style is not what I expected with an art-deco feel which jarred slightly with the restaurant style. As for the reviews who said its hard to find- exit Academia veer to the left lane and its 100 yards (ish)...

The location of this hotel is perfect, near to all the main attractions. Seconds walk from The Basilica di San Giovanni e Paolo & hospital; beautiful & lovely square with good restaurants with friendly staff. Water boat stop behind the hospital. Also seconds from Church of Santa Maria dei Miracoli which is very popular for weddings, quaint and beautiful. Can...

This is very hard to find! Google maps directs you to the wrong place. Highly reccommend looking at the map on their website first. Our stay was very average but a good price for Venice. Very comfortable bed and good location - close to St Marks Square and other main points. I would reccommend this hotel for a short stay...

Don't get me wrong, the room was tidy and clean. The hotel is not too far from main tourist spots such as Rialto Bridge and St Mark's and you can't complain about the price. However it's a bit of a nightmare to find (even the locals didn't know where it was and Google Maps really doesn't help either) so it's...

Very bad , unfriendly, arrogant stuff. Not enough information. Dont miss breakfast, it ends 10.00 and after you ll not get more food. Even if You paid city tax, they asking to pay 10 EUR . You feel guilty to live there. Only positive is canal view. Furniture is old and dirty. Extra beds are broken and beds are unconvenient.

Breakfast was not good, coffee was cold and there was lumps in hotchocolate. And there was not fresh fruits or vegetables. Staff (lady) was unfriendly. The room was beautiful and pretty clean. Hotel was peaceful, but hard to find. Doorbell was broken so we had to wait before we got in.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
