Very tricky to find as its on a tiny street with a little sign above the door. Greeted by a nice little lady. Was a Language barrier but only because my Italians none existent. Our room was lovely, bath very small but hey. Breakfast was a bit poor with nothing hot (even the toast is cold) but your in Venice... More

Don't get me wrong, the room was tidy and clean. The hotel is not too far from main tourist spots such as Rialto Bridge and St Mark's and you can't complain about the price. However it's a bit of a nightmare to find (even the locals didn't know where it was and Google Maps really doesn't help either) so it's... More

BEWARE DOUBLE BOOKING CAN SEVERLY DAMAGE YOUR HOLIDAY! Low budget can mean good value but this residence is the lowest of the low when it comes to value. We were hoping to the visit with Grandma and the Kids would encourage more City Breaks. But they never want to see another city again in their lives after this trip.

Very bad , unfriendly, arrogant stuff. Not enough information. Dont miss breakfast, it ends 10.00 and after you ll not get more food. Even if You paid city tax, they asking to pay 10 EUR . You feel guilty to live there. Only positive is canal view. Furniture is old and dirty. Extra beds are broken and beds are unconvenient.

Breakfast was not good, coffee was cold and there was lumps in hotchocolate. And there was not fresh fruits or vegetables. Staff (lady) was unfriendly. The room was beautiful and pretty clean. Hotel was peaceful, but hard to find. Doorbell was broken so we had to wait before we got in.

We were in Venice for just one night & the hotel served the purpose well as we were out all day & just went to the room to sleep! The room decor is nice & it's neat & clean but it's really tiny which I believe is the case for most of Venice hotels! When we entered the hotel it... More

We had a lovely 4 day stay at Casa Pisani. Our room was clean, quiet and typically Venetian. Breakfast was fresh juice, cereal, cold meat, breads with fresh coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Ideally situated near the Rialto Bridge, this hotel was ideal for us.

We really liked the decor of our room, we stayed in a room to the front of the property overlooking a terrace and the street. The room was very clean as was the bathroom. Breakfast was good for what we paid, additional bonus was the Sunday breakfast which included scrambled eggs! For those arriving after 2pm is best to advise... More

The hotel itself is lovely - adequate sized room - shower stall could have been bigger my husband is 6"5 so it wasn't the best experience for him. My main complaint is the customer service or lack thereof in this hotel. We knew it was the Annex of another hotel so don't expect someone to be there all the time... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
