We stayed here for 3 nights and what a fantastic little hotel this is. Location wise it's minutes away from the rialto and St Marks square. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the continental breakfast which is served to your room is a good start to the day. I haven't given this 5 rating for 1 reason. The stairs... More

We stayed for 5 nights so had time to get a good view of the hotel. The location is excellent for visiting all the major sites Venice has to offer, and there are many, as well as being close to the Rialto Vaparetto stop. We stayed in two rooms and both were recently redecorated and therefore in very good condition... More

We liked this hotel, loved the breakfast and staff. Location so convenient. Lovely decor and great bathroom, comfy bed and good TV reception. Charming antiques. One caution for elderly: no elevator. But you could request room with only one flight of stairs. Great place for the low prices.

Residenza Goldoni is a small and nice hotel in the real center of Venice. The staff is really friendly and the continental breakfast is served into the room. Delicious coffee and pastry. The room is really small, but clean and well decorated.

Stairs and stairs, but hey - what's wrong with a little exercise. The hotel is elegant and quaint and on a wonderful off the path street it the middle of San Marco. They serve the most wonderful breakfast with fresh squeezed Blood Orange juice that I dream about and an excellent restaurant next door - "Antico Calice"

If you are planning a trip to Venice and want to be near the city centre, then you can't really go wrong with Residenza Goldoni. When coming from the Marco Polo Airport via the water bus, just get off at the Rialto stop and it is just a few minutes from there. I stayed here for 3 nights last week... More

This was a good location and the rooms were comfortable. Our stay was a short one so don't know how the breakfast was as we had to leave too early. Lots of stairs to climb so not for everyone. The staff was very attentive and accommodating.

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and honestly can't speak highly enough of the property. We had a room on the top floor (141) which had its own little balcony overlooking the Venetian rooftops. The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was much bigger than expected, although there are no toiletries provided so be sure to bring... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

Residenza Goldoni is a charming and cozy guesthouse in the very heart of Venice, just a few steps far from the famous "Rialto bridge": you can smell the authentic Venice and be member of the beauty of our incredible town. Our guesthouse lies on 4 floors, without lift, so we will be glad to help you with heavy bags to climb them: top floor rooms, called "Mansarde" have nice exposed beans which are so romantic you will get crazy in love with them! The entire structure has free wifi connection, air conditioning, flat tv and all rooms are ensuite (with shower or tube). Breakfast is served every morning inside your room, but in spring time and summer time it is possible (on request if available) sit outside on the third floor, to enjoy your breakfast in our nice terrace.
