Stayed here in May for 2 nights. Short walk from bus stop and very close to vaporeto stop. Room was en suite number 104. High ceiling but we could hear the conversation for the room above. Breakfast was continental and the staff friendly. We paid...More
We stayed in Casa Sant' Andrea for two night while exploring Venice. The location is great being just near the train/bus stations and parking garage. Our room was comfortable. We had one with a shared bath and that was not a problem. The breakfast was...More
In all fairness this is a good place to stay while in Venice. The waterbus stops are close by and the train station is 500m away. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is very basic though...More
This was a good hotel, though there was not much decoration or ambiance in the hotel. The staff was helpful, but not overly friendly. The breakfast was great. One thing to note was that the walls were very thin and you could hear other people...More

We found this place to be basic but everything we needed. Our days were full wandering the beautiful city of Venice so a comfortable bed, basic breakfast, clean room with fantastic service was provided at this recommended hotel. It was a short walk from train...More

Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture
universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighborhood identity.
Hi I feel this is not a ‘honeymoon’ hotel I felt it was quite basic but it is very handy to public transport and I could see the cruise ship from our bedroom window so this is very close. It is also clean and staff friendly.

It's Venezia San Lucia station. It's literally 3minutes walk from Casa Santandrea. Venice doesn't have any on road taxis ; they have water taxis, which you don't need for casa santandrea. Even if you have luggage it wouldn't be a problem as you would cross only one bridge by foot. If you have lot of luggage to carry then you can hire porters. But again it's a waste of money as the accommodation is very close to station. Hope it answers your queries. Have a nice time in Venice.
