We had a great time in this very relaxed hotel. The people that work here are very helpful and very kind. Also they serve a nice breakfast buffet. The rooms were very clean and a nice bathroom including luxury towels and wardrobe.

700 years old but welcoming owners & staff, clean spacious rooms and beds. Good powerful shower with well equipped bathrooms: shower, basin, toilet, bidet, basin, mirror and hairdryer. Air con, lots of lighting and heating. Ca San Polo, is very central to all of Venice. You'd think because it is central that its in a noisy part of the city....

I booked a double room at standard rate 250€ x night and gave my credit card details. 6 nights before the arrival i had to cancel the booking.the hotel replied they would charge me for the full amount. I asked about this unheard of practice and the reply was that it was written in the confirmation and therefore they were...

My wife and I just finished 3 nights at this hotel and we really enjoyed it. The room had a vaulted ceiling with stained wood timbers that were beautiful and the room was otherwise clean and spacious. There was plenty of room in the bathroom as well. The room was decorated a little more traditional and modest vs modern, but...

Small, clean hotel with very pleasant staff. We had a superior room with wooden ceiling beams, large comfortable bed and bathroom, mini-bar and safe deposit box. Hotel is in a small street which is very quiet so you get a good sleep. Complete continental breakfast. Very good location with the San Polo vaporetto station just 5 minutes away. You can also...

I would have given the hotel 5 stars if the WiFi worked and the breakfast was good. For the amount I paid, I expect the WiFi to work in my room. The hosts are really nice. The location of the hotel is good.

Really good location in a quiet street, 10 minutes walk from the bus/train station and 10 minutes walk to Rialto. Hotel is quaint in traditional Venetian style, with a lovely little roof terrace. Rooms have everything you need and a comfy bed to recoup after a day exploring. Breakfast was excellent, loads of choice & great coffee. Plus there is...

San Polo area is about 15 minutes walk from the Rialto bridge, that is unless you get lost, which is easy to do in Venice. Our room at Ca San Polo was the smallest hotel room we had in Italy, but it was very quaint, with wood panelling, wooden beams in the ceiling and a small shower-room which was cleverly...

The location is fine even though it is not so close to Piazza San Marcos, there is a vaporetto station nearby and you can easily get everywhere. The bedrooms are big and the beds are great after spending all day walking. The wi-fi was good but sometimes it would stop working. I would definitely recommend it.

Rooms are very small, we barely fit our luggage. However, we were offered a bigger room for 15 euro more per day. This I think was a bit off, personally I think you should upgrade people and get very happy customers. The rooms are a bit worn, but very charming. They are clean and quiet. Breakfast was better than expected,...

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
