We stayed at the Ca'Del Campo for two days in late September at the beginning of a 28 day European trip. We chose a junior suite which was quite large with two separate bedrooms. We wanted the extra room to get settled for the remainder...More
Excellent location, very good heat in winter, and excellent breakfast! My husband and I stayed here during a December trip to Italy and were very pleased with the accommodations. Located close to everything, but just a little off the beaten path. The room was adequately...More
This hotel was absolutely perfect for me. It is literally three minutes walk from St Mark’s Square. It is in a quiet and picturesque Street. If you turn right when you come out of the door and go over the bridge, you will find yourself...More
We spent four days at this hotel 11/30/17 to 12/4/17. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast buffet was a great bonus.

The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

I agree with the answer above... HOWEVER... the last two times we were in Venice.... 2015 and 2017.....we stayed at Dona Palace and Ca Del Campo... Each time we had early flights home so we splurged and spent about 120E for a water taxi right to the airport... It was a spectacular ride in the early morning hours that we still talk about! What an unbelievable experience! You will never regret it! AND they pick you up right at the hotel! ASK them at the desk....
