We stayed for a long weekend in August. Superior room overlooking a street with restaurants and bars. Nice size room. Quiet hotel. Small bathroom, but that's to be expected in older buildings. Hairdryer is available but not very good a drying hair, it's better for clearing steam off the bathroom mirror. There is no iron in the room and you... More

We stayed here overnight post-cruise. Location is great! Lamberto replied timely to my emails days prior to checking in. There are 3 steps before reaching the building's small elevator. Only 2 adults and 1 suitcase will fit in it. Reception is on the 4th floor. Very impressed by the security of the entrance. It provided all the toiletries and amenities... More

We recently had the privilege of visiting Venice and staying at the Ca Del Campo. It was the perfect beginning to commence our vacation. Perfect for its convenient location, this property exhibited all the charming characteristics you would find in a small boutique hotel or country villa in Tuscany. Upon arrival we were met by Christina who made herself available... More

My partner and I recently stayed at the Ca' del Campo Hotel from the 6th - 9th August 2016 as part of a short break away following our wedding on 4th August. Given all our time has gone into the wedding when we looked to go away for a few days to Venice it's fair to say that we stumbled... More

We very much enjoyed our 3 night stay post-cruise at this small hotel. It couldn't be in a better location. As suggested prior to arrival, we used the Alilaguna from the cruise port to San Marco and only had to ask directions once en route - actually we arrived at the shop right next door, but didn't see the small... A small quaint hotel next to San Marco square. Perfect location if you're in Venice to see everything. We were a honeymoon couple on an Italian road trip starting off here. We got the plane into Venice airport and then a wonderful water taxi trip straight from the hotel to San Marco square. A 5 minute walk (10 minutes with... More

Lonely hotel close to St Marks Square. Surrounded by restaurants and small shops. Best of all excellent assistance from Marco who sorted our reservation problems due to travel company going out of business.

Excellent hotel. The room was very good, the staff were very helpful, and it is in a great location to explore Venice - whether you want to go to the tourist sites or get lost in the backstreets. Would return next time I visit Venice.

We have recently returned form staying 3 night s in this hotel. Its in a great location, within walking distance to everything. Like most things in Venice its not easy to find but with the help of Googlemaps we got there! Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing we asked for was too much trouble. Our room was on... More

Good hotel with a reasonable rate just off St Marks Square and close to Rialto Bridge. Easy walk from the water bus stop at San Marco. Rooms were big and airy and very clean. Breakfast was the usual continental affair. All the staff we met were very friendly. Biggest plus is the location, very easy to get anywhere from here.... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
