Myself and my partner were booked at stay here in March, obviously with Coronavirus and the high rate Italy was experiencing at the time, the FCO advised against all travel to Italy so were weren't able to stay here. After 5 months of fighting for a refund, I'm still waiting!! The hotel and refused due to their cancellation policy, I never cancelled, we aren't allowed to travel to the country!! Ridiculous customer relations with no offer to postpone the stay to a later date, only refusal to refund. Got the money and now they're keeping it...
This hotel is literally around the corner from San Marco and is close to all main attractions. The rooms have the classic venetian decor which some may think it’s dated but actually quite a trademark for the city. Overall the room was functional and had what we needed for one night.
I expected more as its not a cheap place. The breakfast was quite basic and poor. The manager was nice. However the recepcionist at night time was quite rude. I felt they were checking on me as I was the only guest and one day I brought a friend before midnight. I think they can do better. The carpet was a big no for me. Its very convenience and near to main landmarks.
Good 3 nights spent in this small hotel. Really friendly staff. 3 mins from St. Marks. Maybe a little longer to Rialto. Nice and quiet soundproof rooms. Nice small continental breakfast in the morning. Only slight frustration over 3 mornings was the tables being left for next guest to clear. Great little grocery store next door for any food essentials.
Stated at the Ca’Del Campo in Venice for two nights, rooms were typical older style but had a window onto the street and everything you could need even slippers, if you walked out of the hotel and went right over a couple of bridges you were at the Rialto Bridge in 6minutes if you went left you were in Saint Marks square in 3minutes, good breakfast in the cute little breakfast room and thanks to Nicolas at the front desk for all the help showing me how to get around, I was on my own and felt very safe I would stay again.
