Stayed here with my boyfriend for 3 nights at the beginning of February and couldn't have been happier with the hotel! Staff were so friendly, check in and out were both very smooth. Our room was so lovely and spotless when we arrived, so spacious but also very cosy. The beds were made and fresh towels left everyday. The location of the hotel could not have been better, being literally a stone throw away from St Marks Square made it so easy to access everything we wanted to do/see. Breakfast was definitely worth paying extra for, lots of choice of both food and drinks, staff were so polite and helpful and the view of the Grand Canal just topped it off! Would most definitely recommend and will definitely be staying here again!
Took the boat transfer from airport to hotel (approx 90 mins). Dropped off very close to hotel. Check-in was delightful and we were advised we had been upgraded to stay in the Monaco Grand Canal hotel. All we can say is WOW, the suite was amazing. Breakfast is plentiful and vary tasty. All staff are attentive, friendly and always greet you with a smile. Location in our opinion is superb, on the Grand Canal, next to St Marks Square. Still easy to get lost when meandering around the streets of Venice but that's what it is all about. Unfortunately, there was a high tide the day after our arrival, no problem, you can purchase waders and still make the most of your sightseeing.
I will most certainly return, w h e n e v e r I come to Venice. First Class hospitality. Timeless elegance and comfort. Fair price. Beautiful breakfast at „Monaco & Canal“ ( same group) . Location could not be better. Wow.
perfect location in a late gothic palazzo literally 20 metres away from piazza san marco. the general services (restaurant, lobby, breakfast room) are available at the Monaco & Gran Hotel 2 minutes walking away ample and well equipped rooms price quality ratio very very good
We ended up here as our travel firm had messed up but we struck lucky as this was better than where we planned to stay! The rooms were quiet and comfy and, best of all, it's linked to (or maybe owned by) the Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal so you can eat your breakfast on the wonderful terrace by the Grand Canal.
