We have stayed at Hotel Noemi before, on our first strip to Venice, so knew what to expect. This trip was even better, from the moment we arrived the young lady on reception was warm and welcoming. Quickly shown to our room we were left to settle in. All reception staff are eager to help and assist where they can....

We had amazing stay in Venice and in charming hotel Noemi. Almost everything was better than expected. Room was beautiful, very clean, comfortable bed and pillows, quiet and great size. Bathroom was also very beautiful but there was not enought light and very tiny shower. But more important was that bathroom was perfectly clean. Friendly receptionist all the time and...

The room was very hot and being so close to the centre when window was open it was a little noisy. The location was great, close to all amenities and Saint Marc's square. Breakfast was available but very basic in the smallest dining room

Best location! Friendly staff, always willing to help! Breakfast is ok! Very basic. Stayed there for 4 nights, our room was small (107) and wifi was poor! But was very quiet!. Room was clean and replenished every day! Bed was comfy enough, shower is small for 2 people! Yes, is tacky! But everything is like that in Venice.

We stayed for four nights at the Hotel Noemi. The location is great and a selling point for the hotel, but it's not a location I would choose when going back to Venice. Everything near San Marco's square is about 3 x the price of a normal restaurant... so you need to walk a fair distance from the hotel if...

What a position! Minutes from Piazza San Marco but quiet, close to nice restaurants and very comfortable. The staff are friendly and the rooms are small but well appointed. Breakfast is simple but tasty but get there early as the run out and don't replenish.

This hotel has a fantastic location literally a stones throw from St Marks Square. It was still quiet at night for sleeping though! The staff were so friendly and helpful! Breakfast was simple but all we needed with much needed fruit!Perfect for a trip to Venice!

Location on Hotel Noemi is great, its in between the Grand Canal but far from the noise there and it's a quick walk to San Marco basilica and Doges Palace. We did not eat at the restaurant there but Tomazzo was very helpful in giving us directions to places to go and he spoke english well and was pleasant to...

Pleasant old world hotel in a great location, minutes from St. Marks plaza. Comfortable rooms with friendly and helpful staff. The desk clerk was very helpful in printing out our train tickets which we had purchased on line.

We visited this hotel and had a wonderful time. It is very close to the square and a very easy direct 5 minute walk if coming from the station. The bed was comfortable and the room big enough to not feel squashed in. Bathroom is squashy but the shower is a good size. Water pressure ok but not awesome. Wifi...

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
