This hotel has a good location for San Marco. Apart from that not much else good to say. The room we had was very small and tired overlooking backstreet buildings, very noisy and can't even actually see it on their website, lots of nice rooms there but we didn't get one. We could hear the person in the next room...

We stayed at this hotel for three nights as a party of 7. The bedrooms were clean and tidy and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was a little stressful with many trays left empty, but soon after speaking with waiting staff and reception, more hot food arrived. Staff were friendly and accommodating often helping my husband with his Italian language skills....

Nice hotel located in the center of every thing you want to do and see in Venice. The rooms were very small but they are Okay.Breakfast is normal and nothing special ,but if you want to order eggs you have to pay for it which is !!!!!. The staff were very nice and helpful which make up for other things.

The room was 'tired' looking, plenty of room with a canal view. There was much hustle and bustle to be seen and heard, with gondoliers aplenty.. We booked the hotel because it made a great show about its wonderful restaurant with its superb canal view and eating in it sounded wonderful. BIG disappointment. The restaurant was closed.........until February! No coffee/tea...

Stayed here for 2 nights while in Venice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is great value for being so close to San Marco. We were upgraded to a higher level room which was a nice surprise. While the hotel is a bit tired in a few areas we thought the location and value out weighed this....

We arrived after dinner on Friday and our room wasn't ready. We left our luggage and went exploring. The hotel does not give a map of the area or any advice. The room was dreadful. There was a big clump of hair on the floor as if somebody had cleaned a brush and a big hair knott in the bed....

Location is a 5 minute walk to San Marco Square. The staff were very accommodating and our room was very nice overlooking the canal. The shower was basically a wet room but functioned well. The breakfast was good but not logically set out. The hotel has beautiful chandeliers as you would expect with the wonderful glass craft pedigree of the...

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
