Detailed Reviews
Hotel has pros and cons. Proper coffee from a machine for breakfast, however the food is limited to croissants, small bread rolls and yoghurts. There are no plugs or taps for the bath tubs, so if you’re looking for a hotel room with a bath, do not book here. The owner has removed the plugs to avoid spending money on bath water. The location is very good, so close to San Marco square and just across from the bridge of sighs, lots of places to eat nearby. Overall a good hotel for the price.

We stayed in this small and central hotel for the second time. It couldn't be more central than about 100 m from Piazza San Marco. The entrance is a bit hidden in a small alley, but Dr. Google is helpful.
The rooms are simple, but individually furnished and very clean. Unfortunately, our room this time had a few small defects, e.g. the safe wasn't even attached and easy to carry.
The staff was extremely friendly. A small example: Our room was on the 3rd floor. In a building like this, that means almost 70 steps. The nice young man at the reception spontaneously took our suitcases and carried them up in no time! Thank you very much🫶
Despite everything, I'm deducting a star from my last visit in 2018. A highlight for us was the 24-hour bar at the reception. It was purchased even though the reception is still open 24 hours a day. We don't understand the reason for this.
In any case, this small hotel is absolutely recommended for anyone who doesn't like standard hotels!

Starting from the assumption that we booked for two nights in Venice during the weekend before Christmas just four days in advance and that we spent 120 euros between us for two nights and we were behind Piazza San Marco, the hotel is appalling to say the least. Upon arrival, the entrance, narrow and narrow, was full of dust and no one was cleaning it. Once we got there they accompanied us to the structure next to the hotel where we stayed, unfortunately the key didn't open the door and they abandoned us there for half an hour until we called them back. They gave us other keys telling us to try another room as if they didn't know which ones were ready or usable but the room indicated was non-existent. whereupon they gave us another one, full of dust under the bed, with dust and cobwebs between the windows and the shutters and with a French fry on the carpet and some adhesive tape stuck randomly on the door. Run away as far as possible

Not recommended at all to anyone ever.....only the location is good....the rooms with black damp ceilings as well as the walls and with a fairly strong musty smell having to put cologne on it. room to avoid the smell of humidity....breakfast is very limited......with narrow and steep stairs...
..Heating on all day and the technical service has not come to fix it after having warned them a few times....the lamps in the room do not work well and there is little light...the air conditioning does not work neither...the camera is very hard and
you wake up with back pain....very run down hotel, very old and everything abandoned...it has plenty of stars...it doesn't look anything like the photos they put on the page...I wouldn't recommend it to anyone never.

Sad hotel. The hotel needs room renovations as soon as possible. As soon as we walked into our room we noticed that the bed didn’t had a comforter and noticed it was in the bathtub 😂. The room walls are filthy, the furniture is all heat up, phone is from year 1,800, the AC units was covered in black dust, the bed mattress was hard as the floor. Oh and don’t open your windows because it is a scary view. The hotel has a great location because it’s literally in the center of everything so if you stay there, just stay in the town all day and not in the sad rooms.

Apart from the location which is really great, this Inn is really overrated. The rooms are scattered in several places (ours was in an adjacent street), the decoration is really dated and the welcome really leaves something to be desired. The man who is in charge of welcoming the customers is of a really deplorable friendliness. As for breakfast, it’s really indigent since apart from the usual hot drinks, we will offer vacuum biscottes, tasteless unbaked “buns” and croissants that must date from the year 2000 because they are so bad (rarely seen such a thing, even if you put jam you can not get used to it)

Perfect location. Small rooms both inside the hotel and those located in a building next door. Clean bathroom.
Problems: air conditioner does not work properly or is too hot or stays off.
Breakfast almost nothing or only the sweet basics (butter, jam, chocolate).
Absent staff who recommend expired hydrogen peroxide if needed... They don't let you leave your bags at check out and you are forced to take them to another hotel.
Too bad because it is located next to San Marco

The hotel is a step back in time with beautiful padded wall paper, vaulted ceiling and renaissance paintings. Our room was located in a separate building from check in and very noisy after dark but what would you expect in such a busy city. The staff is friendly and helpful. Finally, the location is great with easy access to the San Marco square.

Atleast it wasn’t over €300 per night like the Grand Palladium in Sicily which had equally poor staff but I wouldn’t recommend. The location is great but that’s it. Wet floor.
You’d be better booking somewhere a little further out than St marks square for less money.

The window leaked and drenched the room so badly
We walked to the closest boat dock, took the boat to the airport (NOT a water taxi, but the regularly-running boat to the airport with multiple stops - water taxi is hugely expensive unless you split the cost with others). Suggest purchasing ticket the day before. Allow about up to 90 minutes for the trip, depending on what stop you board the boat. When you get to airport dock, there is about a 10-minute walk to the airport terminal. This was the best method for the pricing. Heard bad things about the bus.
