We stayed in this hotel as part of a tour of Italy arranged by Bellarome . This was an excellent hotel, very quaint and venetian with comfy bed. Breakfast was continental with good choices and plentyful.

This hotel is small, it is in a great location if you plan to head to the outer islands and easy access from airport. Walk to St Marks sq approx 20 mins. The room was comfortable, kettle and TV not that I turned it on. Breakfast was fresh, not loads of choice but adequate. We were able to leave our...

Went to Venice for our 35th wedding anniversary. It was the first time we had been there, what a wonderful place. The apostoli palace is a lovely small hotel with 6 rooms with very friendly staff who were only too happy to help. The location is perfect with some lovely bars and restaurants near by. Would recommend stay here.

Our first visit to Italy and Venice. Loved the typically venetian decor and atmosphere. Small room but well appointed. Very clean excellent shower with plenty of hot water. Mini bar and coffee facilities iin room which was an unexpected bonus. Breakfast was delightful. Typical continental but smiling friendly and personable service. We've been here twice in the last two years and it remains the same, a nice friendly small hotel who can't do enough for you. Situated in a quiet but very handy area of Northern Venice only a couple of minutes walk from San Apostoli it's perfect for sightseeing. Well appointed and quite old fashioned we just love the place!

Was a lovely small hotel with friendly staff and decent rooms. We got breakfast and was a nice spread. It's a great location as just far enough away from busy tourist streets but close to easily walk. Also a supermarket round the corner for any supplies. Only down point was beds weren't the best as we had 2 single mattresses...

We booked this place based on other reviews on Tripadvisor. Apostoli Palace was so much better than expected. My friend recommended booking a hotel in Cannareggio so it wasn't such a far walk from the trains or bus....while the walk with bags is still quite long. If you are not fit or have a lot of luggage don't try it...

The Apostoli Palace is hidden away on a short narrow street in a mostly residential district of Venice and has about 8 rooms, all named for saints. Siri found it for us after we got off a shared ride from the St. Lucia rail station. GPS on your phone quickly helps you establish your location and routes to about anywhere...

We arrived very late, but the receptionist had taken care of our key so we could go directly to our room. We were amazed with how good renovation work had been done. The room was very small, but it felt really nice and well decorated. We had a wonderful stay there. Don't rely on GPS to find the hotel. Better...

The Apostoli Palace is an ideal base to explore Venice. The water taxi dropped us off very close to the hotel. All the rooms appear to be on the first floor leading off from the breakfast area. Breakfast was ample, although not as much choice as other hotels we have stayed in. Our room was shaded by trees and was...

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
