Lovely little hotel in beautiful surroundings. Be sure to get a map and know where to find the hotel beforehand! Lots of side streets and similarities make it difficult to navigate at first. The staff were so friendly and more than happy to help. Breakfast is as stated a 'little Italian breakfast' fresh croissants and rolls, yoghurt, meats and toast....

Stayed here for five nights and the only complaint I have was that it was a bit cold in the room, other than that everything was great. Lovely clean room with coffee making facilities, hairdryer and all the bits and pieces you don't want to take away with you. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough to help...

Just finishing a short stay with my fiancée at Apostoli Palace. A lovely dainty hotel located very close to all amenities in Venice. With only a few rooms, it provides stayers with an easy to access hotel, and it comes with free breakfast too :) just 10mins walk from both Piazza San Marco and the Venice Train station this hotel...

Me and my partner recently returned from a 2 night stay at Apostoli Palace. We were very impressed staff where very helpful and welcoming and the room was beautiful. Took a while to find the hotel but that is the beauty of Venice! The experience is getting lost and once you find your bearings it's a perfect location. We shall...

What a find. The Apostoli Palace is situated in the heart of Venetian Venice, Cannaregio, tucked away in a quite side street. However don't be fooled the area is bustling. The Hotel can be reached very easily by water from the Grand Canal or the Lido. You can search out the many attractions and areas of Venice by walking or water...

Fantastic location - right in the centre of everything, about 15 minutes walk from St Marc's square, surrounded by shops and restaurants. The room was nice although there was no view as it is on a side street. Decoration was nice, lighting is good too only fault was I would suggest softer pillows for the bed! Man on reception was...

There are only 8 rooms in this small hotel housed in a building built in the 1400's. You can walk to almost all the places you need to visit. The rooms are adequate and there is wifi in all the rooms to keep you in the 21st century. Best way to travel on foot or water bus. What an experience.

The hotel was in a small quiet road and near to most of the places you should visit in Venice. The people working there relay kind and helpfull . the breakfast could have more things like eggs, the room was clean and spacious.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
