Cima Rosa is a true treat. Perfectly located om the Grand Canal, a two minute’s walk from Vaporetto stop San Stae and yet an oasis of calm and comfort. We had one of the two interior rooms (not facing the Canal) and found it spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. Good bed, clean bathroom with shower, plenty of space to relax.... More

Enough and more has been said about Cima Rosa, a lovely boutique hotel. Classy in every manner, Valentina was wonderful and helpful , great breakfast. My room was facing the water and I could hear the vaporreti in the evening. It's a delight to have tea in your room seeing the fast speed boats... If in Venice, you cannot stay... More

We stayed in the comfortable double at the rear of the hotel which was really quiet, beautifully presented and with a really comfortable bed and soft bed linen - I can only imagine what the other rooms are like but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again A great convenient location, wonderful breakfast and Valentina was on hand in a... Couldn't recommend this jewel of a place more highly. Stunning, intimate, sumptuously comfortable and exquisitely beautiful down to every last tiny detail. And on top of all of that, great value and in a perfect location. Really felt like home from home.

I literally can't say enough lovely things about this place. Our room was the large suite overlooking the Grand Canal - just amazing. As you enter the B&B there's a lovely scent of lavender. The bed was amazing, luxurious sheets, lovely pillows - I came home to my own bed and said to my husband "the hotel bed was better... More

The location is perfect for travelers looking to get away from the crowds, yet still close enough to walk to the major sights. Two minute walk from the San Stae station. The staff is fantastic! They make you feel at home and are ready to help with anything you need. Use their dining suggestions, they were great! Our room was... More

Nowadays, travellers are global, savvy and discerning. In order to be at the top of your league, location, price-value ratio, safety, toiletries and cleanliness are not enough. You and your team have to love sincerely what you are doing - the whole lot - including the place where you host, and the people, in whichever shape and form. Brittany, Daniele... More

This great little Guest House was a welcome retreat from the summer tourists in Venice. Hidden away in a quiet neighborhood but so conveniently close to the water taxi stop , the Cima Rose is charming, the host very lovely and accommodating . Breakfast was great. I think if we had wound up in the San Marcos area where there... More

This venue was fantastic. Make sure you know where you are going first as it was a little difficult to locate. This is not a good start if you have a lot of luggage! Our arrival was warm & inviting with the hosts showing first class customer service. The room was homely and comfortable, right on the Grand Canal bringing... More

All I can say is wow! We just stayed here and had a wonderful time. The staff is soooo friendly, helpful, accommodating, and just all great. And the free breakfast each morning is my favorite meal in Venice too. Highly recommend. Charming!

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
