What more can I add? Like everyone else, I can't say enough about this amazing hotel. I stayed there with my partner for four nights to celebrate a year of being together, and it was perfect. Matteo, Barbara, Francesco and Bruno welcomed us like old...More
We have just returned from a fabulous 3 night stay at the Orseolo. It is everything other tripadvisors have written and much more. It is difficult to find but that adds to the charm..all you need to do is just read and follow the instructions...More
Like many other reviewers, we booked on the strength of the recommendations on this site and were not disappointed. Matteo, Francesco, Barbara, Bruno and all their staff really seem to enjoy what they do and they're really good at it. Their excellent advice on what...More
With over three hundred reviews written on tripadvisor in just over a year says it all. Barbara, Matteo, Bruno and Francesco took over this hotel and opened it in January 2004. I booked for February 25th and 26th 2005 purely on these fantastic reviews, for...More

The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

We had a king size bed, as did our friends. My husband is 6'2" and was very comfortable. The people at the hotel are very helpful and eager to help. I know they can help you get just the right room; it is a magical place.
