Our third stay and so happy to be back ! We can’t fault this hotel and their lovely staff . The mattress was perfect for a good nights sleep after all of the sightseeing. Pillows were good but We always prefer two pillows for sleeping as standard , and if one is feather then you are on point . Tea/coffee/fridge /safe/toiletries all in the rooms . Breakfast was faultless even provided a gluten free selection. Lovely to be able to sit in the garden . Four nights was not long enough!! We will return. Many thanks .
Excellent all round service from start to finish, beautiful building inside, a decor that wows, environment very clean, lovely friendly romantic place, hotel really good value for money. Room was very clean, everything as expected and more, beds very comfortable, perfect for a romantic break, calming relaxing and enjoyable 5* All Staff were very courteous, helpful and friendly. Went that extra mile to ensure you had a great stay. Thanks to all members of staff that assisted and served us, our stay couldn't have been an better. Highly recommended:- Give it a go, you’ll see what I mean! This was our first time. Cannot fault.
Coming immediately after a wonderful hotel stay in Barcelona the Carnival Palace was always going to be compared to our earlier experiences which may have clouded our judgement a little. Having said that there are definitely some areas for improvement. Beginning with the positives....... The location suited us perfectly. I know some may think this hotel a bit out of the way, but after the madness of central Venice it was always nice to escape to a quieter area. The vaparetto stop is just a few metres away, so getting around - if you don`t fancy walking - is easy. The hotel was very well presented and had the air of a higher end establishment. Breakfast was good (including plenty to satisfy the sweetest of teeth, like mine) although some of the hot food choices seemed a little strange, at least to British eyes. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a great view of the canal; it was nice to get a glimpse of the `real` Venice first thing in the morning. Staff seemed friendly and efficient. Why am I giving only 4 stars? Little things mainly; we found nothing bad about the place. There was no in-room information of any kind; we had to find out for ourselves how wifi, a/c, tv etc worked (the a/c was particularly challenging). The bathroom had those dreadful tiny bottles of shampoo, shower gel and the like; although replenished each day they were pretty useless and all that plastic..... :( The room was not as large as the hotel website leads you to believe (junior suite) although the double internal doors did usefully serve to block out most of the noise of the lift just outside. The `hot` food at breakfast was warm at best. Like I said, little things. Would I recommend the Carnival Palace? Well, I wouldn`t discourage anyone from staying here, particularly if they want somewhere a little away from the centre. Would I stay here again? Probably not. I think there are better hotels to be had in Venice for the price. Top tip: dig deep and take a water taxi from the airport; by far the best way to arrive and you won`t regret it.…
After a personal experience in September 2020 I recommended the hotel to a group of friends. The difficulties of organizing a group tour were easily overcome thanks to excellent back-stage support. The stay was perfect from the first to the last minute. This applies to the work at the front desk, the quality and presentation of the rooms, the excellent breakfast and the evening drinks at the bar. Thanks also for the restaurant recommendations. The Carnival Palace will continue to be my/our preferred hotel in Venice in the future.
The staff were helpful from the moment we arrived at the hotel. They got us into a great room, breakfast was fantastic and location was perfect for us. Walking distance to fantastic local restaurants and the water bus right at your door. Definitely and must stay and a 4+ star for sure.
My wife and I should have stayed here in March 2020, but we cancelled as pandemic took hold. Hotel staff were brilliant about cancelling and agreed to hold the reservation until we could travel. That didn't happen until late March 2022. We were really pleased that we were able to make the trip and finally get to stay at Carnival Palace. We certainly don't want it to be our last stay there. Location, friendly staff, quality and comfort of the bedroom, decor throughout the hotel, excellent breakfast and tea/coffee, fridge and safe in room were all positives. Only small negative was lack of TV service in language other than Italian. All the sights and attractions of Venice were easily accessible either on foot or from nearby water bus stops. Definitely pleased we stayed there and looking forward to a return.…
Great hotel. Stayed 3 nights here around 20th March. The reception staff were very friendly, quick check-in and the room was absolutely spotlessly clean as well as being modern and very comfortable. Excellent value for money and would definitely stay again as a first choice when back in Venice.
we really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, it was clean, luxurious, decor was beautiful and staff were excellent! They were polite and helped us with anything we needed, travel routes etc. would absolutely recommend
This hotel has the best location in Cannaregio, directly on the canal. The staff are all professionnal, dedicated and friendly. The room is simply beautiful (junior suite). Everything is near: restaurants, traghetto, gondolas, eveything ! We recommand this hotel !
We stayed there with a group. Everything was fine. I had no issues with the hotel, its food, or the service. Venice is wonderful, but you can get lost there easily. The hotel is conveniently located near the sights you want to see. It has been recently updated.
