Absolutely amazing hotel, luxury from start to finish. Location is great as you are away from the overly priced restaurants but still in walking reach San Marco etc. Breakfast is great, everything you need and the staff are excellent also. Would stay here again in a heart beat, well done to all the staff

We have returned from our 7 nights at Carnival Palace Hotel and loved every bit of that. We found all staff extremely helpful particularly breakfast staff and housekeeping staff. Hotel location is brilliant and walking distance to beautiful Venice. Don't get caught with expensive Venice transfer and use Aliliguna orange line that will drop you outside the hotel from Marco...

A wonderful hotel in Venice. The room was amazing with a view of the Canal. The staff treated us like royalty. I will be returning to Venice in June and I have already booked my stay at Carnival Palace. A truly magical experience.

Location of the hotel is great, short walk from the centre with all of the shops and restaurants. Breakfast selection could be better, staff very helpful. Email sent to hotel prior to visit and had a speedy response with correct information.

My girlfriend booked us a surprise trip to Venice and booked us to stay here. I have to say I was blown away by the hotel and how nice it is. Low light in corridors giving it a chilled and romantic vibe. Beautiful room with an amazing shower and mood lighting. Staff were very helpful when my girlfriend was booking...

My wife and I were on our honey moon and this hotel was just wonderful. It was really clean, cozy, quiet, etc. The hotel is in a quiet area, but it's just a 20/25-minute walk to places like the Saint Mark's Square and the Basilica, which is not a problem because walking in the city is great. Even if you...

The hotels Amenities and service are excellent. The breakfast and coffee is good. It is close to shopping but far from the center of attraction in Venice the Grand canal which is about 30 min walk form the hotel or you have to take the vaporetto. We stayed in a room with Canal view but the only eye sore to...

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
