Some staff have bad attitude especially the gentleman (take out gentle) at the reception. They don’t change towels every day according to the service staff unless they judge it is not clean (cleanliness judgement method unknown..). I asked for fresh towels and they made a...More

Dear Mr. Zoueihed,
whenever you have requested new towels, we have immediately proceeded to your request. You forgot to write that every time you asked for new towels, you accused us of having forgotten to change towels. Whenever!. We are serious in our work, kind,...More
Following a cruise we booked this hotel for one night to extend our holiday and allow us a couple of days to look around Venice. We chose Locanda after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. Of particular significance is the location in relation to the...More
We didn't stay at Locanda de La Spada. We stayed at the Renato Apartments -- their sister venue. And while the apartment was ok, it wasn't totally comfortable (the beds were like cots and there were a ton of mosquitos). But what made it worse,...More

The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

I think hotel serves only open buffet breakfast. Receptionist informed us they have a sister hotel(at the end of the very same street/ apprx. 50 meters away) where we can have dinner (unfortunatelly I can not remember the name of the sister hotel) We preferred to have dinner at the local restaurants so I am sorry I don't have any knowledge about the service of the other hotel.
