4-star Hotel in Venice is an example of traditional Venetian hospitality, a mix of courtesy, experience and high efficiency that offers impeccable service making travelers feel truly at home in the historic center of the most incredible of cities.
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
The hotel was very well placed to look round the city. it was clean and well managed, the breakfasts were pretty good, Our room was on the third floor and overlooked the passageway leading to Piazza san Marco so it was easy to see if...More
Great location. Old hotel. My room was very tiny which was OK since I was travelling alone. The walls and floors are very dirty and old. Carpet is soiled and walls have marks all over the plaster. No fault of the cleaning staff, the place...More
The pictures on the website are showing their other properties, not this hotel. The carpet was at least 30 to 40 years old and filthy. The walls haven't been painted in at least a couple of decades. We heard Venice was old so we did...More
Ideally located close to the San Marco square along one of the side streets. Locating it can be fun if you are not familiar the Italian Street signs, the best I can advise is face the clock in the square, not the tower as this...More
The only thing about this hotel is that is is 2 minute walk to St Marks Square. You couldn't swing a mouse let alone a cat in the twin share room. Only 1 suitcase rack, small wardrobe, one single bed and a fold up bed...More
No kettle and didn't find any problems with staff and they happily directed us across the way for a hot water flask..however was too hot for a hot drink in the end and we stuck to cold ones in out room.

Fairly long walk in the airport to the water taxi’s, stay inside to access the walkway, take lift or stairs down to pontoon level at the end then left and your find booking offices on the left with price list over window - water taxi is your only option at that time, you have 2 choices, you can share with others which is cheaper but may have to wait so best take the hit and pay full fare you’ll get to San Marco pontoon much quicker!
