I have just returned from a wonderful two night stay. The room was lovely and the breakfast superb. There was a great selection for breakfast, with Prosecco also available and included...the perfect way to start your day. Special thanks to Franco and Fabio.

Located near Academia and not far from Peggy Guggenheim museum. The room and bathroom were perfectly designed and organized. What was absolutely amazing-transformer in the bathroom that allowed direct charging of USA devices (smartaphones etc)..I wish it was available at all hotels outside USA. Breakfast was great. You can prepare 4 different variants of fresh juice (self-operating). Amaxing variety of...

Great small hotel . Feels cozy and warm ..very fresh breakfast. Reception was very attentive to our needs, they provided maps ( much better than the ones we had) and explanations in how to go to the main sites.

Ca Pisani has a great location ideally suited for exploring Venice. We found walking the best way to get around, just wandering along the little narrow streets and seeing where you end up is a real joy. Its very easy to orientate where you are from Ca Pisani with the Acadamia Bridge very close by. The Hotel is very well...

Stayed at Ca Pisano for 4 nights in early December. The rooms were well decorated, clean and very spacious. The hotel in general is very nicely set out and the staff were helpful. The location is excellent. 2 minute walk to Academia bridge and vaporetto stop, an easy 15 minute walk to Piazza San Marco and a short walk to...

dear LolWa, thank you a lot for ther very nice review, and of course we are really happy to know you enjoyed your stay at the 'Ca' Pisani'. as you wrote, the location is one of our 'pros' because we are close to both the Accademia and Zattere boat stations and 15 minutes by feet from Saint Mark's square. we...

Walking the best way to get around Venice. You take a 15 min. walk from the train station to the hotel into the heart of the Dorsoduro District of Venice to find the Ca'Pisani. I found this hotel for my family's holiday tour of Italy online through a couple of different channels. I booked it through Expedia but only after...

Having travelled to Venice on multiple past trips, we were looking for a unique and authentic experience, and we found it. Water taxi directions and advice were perfect as we dropped our Hertz rental car at the end of the causeway into Venice and rolled our bags a few steps to the water. At about 65 Euros for multiple bags...

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
