We spent two nights here in February. The hotel is in a great part of Dorsoduro, which is a quiet part of the city, that's not too far from the main tourist sites (a few steps from Accademmia Bridge) and vaporetto stops. The hotel is well appointed and the rooms are a reasonable size. We arrived quite early in the...

The hotel is perfectly located and easy to reach from the water taxi. The staff was very welcoming and the room spotless. We also got a complimentary bottle of Prosecco for my boyfriend's birthday which was a very addition to our amazing stay!

If you believe that a hotel should be more than a home away from home. If you value professional, dedicated, discreet and heartfelt service...this is the place to stay in Venice. We were there for a few days and a family birthday. The staff, especially the concierges, made our stay and the birthday celebrations a wonderful memory. Thank you all....

We enjoyed every aspect of this hotel- a beautifully modernized historic building. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Spacious lobbies on each floor were well furnished, had interesting period artworks. There were books, facilities for making hot drinks including a coffee machine. The doors to each room appeared to have individual marquetry designs. The bed was comfortably firm with pristine linen; the...

We loved our stay. The double room was very spacious for our toddler and had great amenities. The room was always clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed it being so close to all the tourist attractions but far enough away to avoid crowds. The breakfast was beyond expectations and had so many choices. We would certainly stay...

dear Kayla B, I read your review with interest and a smile because when our guests are happy about their stay it means that the entire staff have done a good job. about washcloths, because in the bathrooms we already place quite a few sizes of towels, we give mitts ('manopole', in Italian) on request. we hope to welcome you...

Quite somewhat secluded stay outside of the chaotic tourism of Venice, yet close to everything. Very good included breakfast with a variety. Friendly staff. Nice size rooms. The beds are not comfortable, scratchy sheets but other than that it was a fine stay.

It was my wife's first visit to Venice and it could not have been any better. The hotel is situated very close to the water bus stop and walking distance to all the major sites. The staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection and the best coffee I've had in a hotel.

Wow! We had the most awesome experience staying at Ca'Pisani. The staff were fantstic. They helped us with phones calls and water taxi's. They also offered suggestions of places to eat. It is a small hotel which allows the staff to really focus on you. They have a fantastic breakfast bar with a variety of food options. Hotel decor was...

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
