The hotel is perfect, from the location, staff, breakfast, room size. You can't go wrong with hotel. Well I mean you can if you want old, outdated, horrible service, bad location, and no breakfast. But if you want those things then pick this place! The hotel is super easy to get to being right between 2 major water taxi piers... More

Very charming hotel at Dorsoduro, nice and dedicated staff, nice an large rooms. The ArtDeco design gives the feeling to be on a boat. The wooden doors are great, the romms are silent. Nice place to recover from a Biennale day.

Enjoyed a great stay. Had a lovely room overlooking the courtyard. Well cared for by Stefano and staff. Especially loved the breakfast so well served by staff who made us delicious cafe lattes. We will return.

We took a trip to Italy to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We were greeted with an extremely friendly staff, shown around the room and given a dinner reservation. The breakfast was delicious and the staff helpful. Great location.

The hotel was centrally located in a quieter section of Venice. We received very good service from the front desk personnel. The rooms were on the larger side which was a definite plus. Breakfast was only OK. Overall Ca'Pisani was a nice hotel.

If it's yr 1st time traveling to Venice this hotel can be a bit far to get to especially if you choose The ALILAGUNA Shuttle, Zatere is the last stop so you will be about 1,30mins on the boat, the best way is to take a shuttle bus to Piazzale Roma and from there its just a 10 mins Vaporetto... We stayed in Ca Pisani for the first 2 nights of our honeymoon. The location and ease of transport to the hotel (water bus straight from airport to Zattere) was great - very easy to walk to from the boat. We loved that Dorsoduro is a little quieter but with the hotel being so close to the accademia bridge, it... More

Everything about this hotel is perfect. Staying is Dorsodoro is fabulous because it is close to amazing restaurants, art and shops. It is also out of the fray of the typical tourist areas of San Marco and Rialto while not being too far that visiting those areas is very quick and easy. The Alilagua blue line from the airport stops... More

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
