#11 of 513 Specialty lodging in Venice
Travelers' Choice
Generator Venice stands on the waterfront of the island of Giudecca, one shortstop on the Vapporetto from Piazza San Marco. Our Venice hotel was originally a warehouse, so the building blends history and character with contemporary design features. Inside the hotel, you’ll find luxurious mosaic floors, a glass chandelier, and an imposing stone fireplace. Public spaces are subtly split into intimate and open-plan areas – all surrounding the bar and cafe. Every room has a view of either the gardens, Lido, Grande Canal, or the iconic San Marco. Not bad, eh? -- Please note that due to the global pandemic, some venues, amenities, and services may have been eliminated or scaled down for the safety of our guests and staff. Please contact the hotel should you have any questions or concerns.

in overall a good experience just at Friday Erasmus Evening Partys are good to get to know people but if you are just tired from a long journey its not very convenient because when I wanted to fall asleep at 11 the music was way to loud and I could hear the baseline till the second floor.

I’m just sitting here in the common area and loving every minute of it. Very cool and hipster decor with a million bucks view. We just stopped for coffee and some sweets. The service is cordial and the coffee and sweets were so delicious we are taking some to go. Sipping a cup of a delicious latte macchiato, listening to XXI century music and looking out to a +1600 year old view is priceless.

It had a great location to take the ferry. You can cross the canal straight to the plaza to visit St. Marcus. The common areas feel nice and fun, very hipster, however, I felt like it needed to be explained on the price that so many things were paid extra, like the luggage storage and the towels. Also, the bathrooms were really small, it was almost difficult to get out of the toilet because the door was on the way, hihi.

Nice decoration but everything else is poor. Expensive. Rooms are like prisons beds are so close together. Staff not very friendly. Mosquitos are awful inside. Very poor breakfast choices and food choices with no kitchen. I would book elsewhere if i were going again.

They charge you for EVERYTHING - even to use a towel, or to store your luggage. Also not allowed to bring your own food inside?? It is not designed with the traveller in mind. Just hiding terrible experience behind an eDgY aEsThEtIc. Everything is designed to milk as much money from you as possible and not actually make your life easier as you’d expect from a hostel. Rooms weren’t ready at the check in time. Was kept up all night by mosquitoes There was no girls bathroom in service on our floor?! Had to use the men’s Unhelpful staff and no atmosphere in the common areas. Will not be going back to any Generator.
