Appart from the location, there is not much going for this hotel. Rooms are quite small, and a bit dated. But everything is clean and neat - this is what matters most. Very close to the Train Station and vaporetto. Staff could have been more friendly. Would skip breakfast and try one of the places on the same street for...

The only plus points of this hotel is the location and the staff. The hotel is very close to the train station. There is a steep flight of steps to get to reception so be prepared if you are carrying heavy luggages but I managed fine. The staff at the reception were very helpful and friendly. We got the room...

this little hotel is a great place. The staff was friendly and the wifi was strong. It was very close to the train station and just a little longer walk to the bus terminal. Everywhere was within close walking distance. Morris, the Receptionist, in the evening was very helpful in providing recommendations. He recommended us a nice little restaurants a...

Stayed here for a short while and was very very pleased. Located very near the the train station. Easy to find. Cozy rooms with all the amenities you need. And and excellent staff! Mauricio and Luciano are our favorites! They also give amazing recommendations, if we would every return to Venezia, we would stay here again.

This is a solid hotel. Clean and tidy, we'll run. Helpful friendly staff. It says two-star and it dies that perfectly. A great location ... Don't underestimate the effort required to cross the canals with bags. No need for that hassle if you stay at this great little hotel. We didn't try the breakfast ... but that's the way we...

Very close to the train station which made it easy to get out of Venice! Close to boat stations. Rooms are standard with no natural light it can be very dark. Staff is ok they don't really talk much?! If you are looking for a good low key stay this place should do.

We stayed here for two nights recently and this is a good solid little hotel very close to the railway station, aerobus stop and cruise ship terminal. Getting to any hotel in Venice is a problem. You are only allowed to take one bag on the ACTV local ferries which traverse the Venice waterways. The cobble stone streets are very...

The hotel staff were nice and very helpful. The location is nice, only 5 minitues walk from the train station, and close to many attractions. The breakfast is free but average. There is no elevator. So, having rooms in the lower floor is preferable.

The location is just perfect so close to the Santa Lucia station and surrounded by shops and restaurants. It is very clean. We informed that we would check out at 6am (before the regular breakfast time), the gentleman told us that he would have breakfast ready for us. It was ready. What a service!

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
