In venice you need to consider the easiest and cheapest way for you to get into the hotel if you are on a budget. We found both public transport and water taxi are crazily priced and this hotel is just right as we arrived by train and we only need to walk a few hundred meters to the hotel. The...

We've been to the Arcadia twice and it really is a fantastic hotel (once you've found it's discreet entrance - it is right opposite the Hotel Guglie about 100 yards from the bridge). The service is superb - friendly, professional and attentive, from the way my bags disappeared from reception and arrived in my room, to the care with which...

And I really forward to have you here again dear Eluned, both for the pleasure to welcome you for the third time and, secondly to show the “little but great” improvements we are doing in our service and in our rooms. Me and my staff are here just to always provide all our guests all the best we can. Again...

Have no complaints about my stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, staff were helpful and the rooms were the cleanest I have ever seen in a hotel. Will definitely be back at some point in the future to stay at this hotel. Oh and the sweets at reception were worth cheating on my diet for!

We were so happy to reach this destination and have all of our expectations fulfilled! This boutique hotel was a hot little find. Away from the hustle and bustle of tourists but still close to everything. A comfortable walk to Rialto stairs and markets, st marks, etc etc. an easy find and walk from St Lucia station, but follow the...

Flew into Treviso and needed directions to the hotel. Contacted the hotel in advance by e mail. Lorenzo replied and provided excellent instructions on how to get from the airport to the hotel. This was not easy as it involved a bus, a water bus and then a foot journey. We got there with ease thanks to the help that...

I booked this hotel from the reviews I have read from other TripAdvisor's, and they were right, this boutique hotel is very nice and extremely clean!! We arrived via a private water taxi from the airport that the hotel arranged for us, and we were dropped off about a block away from the hotel, which was very convenient. At check-in...

Arcadia Boutique is a lovely small hotel in the Cannaregio area of Venice. It's location is excellent, it being less than ten minutes by foot from the railway station, and close to the Giglio waterbus stop (offering a direct service to Marco Polo Airport). It's not far from the Grand Canal and a pleasant twenty minutes walk to Rialto. The...

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Arcadia, a splendid, charming residence in the centre of Venice, is delighted to offer you a fine stay in the magical city suspended over the waters of the lagoon. The sophisticated elegance of this small but refined boutique hotel can be seen in its captivating and romantic furnishings, a blend of period and modern, with hints of contemporary color and an atmosphere born of a glorious past. The setting is a splendid 17th century palace that harks back to the magnificent and aristocratic age of bygone Venice, but the atmosphere is one of a welcoming hotel de charme with elegant, refined taste. The result is Hotel Arcadia, a perfect blend of East and West, contemporary color and period details. ... more   less
