Me and my boyfriend just got back from three night stay celebrating my partners birthday. The hotel staff were very friendly, smiley and very helpful. As they knew we had an early flight the next day they offered to make us a breakfast to take with us. Room was a good size, nice comfortable bed with a good power shower. The location was under 5 minute walk to st mark square and right in centre with loads of restaurants and cafes close. We loved our stay and will definitely go again!

this is a small hotel. The reception staff are very friendly. There arr no lifts and the stairs are quite steep but for us this was not a problem. It is perfectly situated near all the main tourist attractions yet retains its intimacy and uniqueness. The breakfasts were fine - just what it says of their web site

We loved this quirky, cosy little hotel in the heart of Venice near S.Marco Square. We had a small room with a comfortable double bed and ensuite shower. It was perfectly adequate for our needs as we were out exploring all day and evening, so it was just somewhere to lay our heads at night. Best of all, it faced the back of the hotel overlooking a little square so we had no problems with noise at all. The stair case is narrow and there is no lift, so this might be a problem for people with mobility issues, however the staff were friendly and willing to help with cases, etc. Breakfast was basic (coffee, tea, pastries & yoghurt, etc) but perfectly adequate for our needs. All in all we really enjoyed our visit to Venice in February and would definitely stay at The Orion again as it s in a perfect location, clean & comfortable and good value for money!

Stayed here before and after our cruise. Ideal central location, just round the corner from St Marks Square. Staff at the hotel very pleasant and helpful. Hotel and rooms are very clean. Breakfast was good, it is a small breakfast area but adequate, I never found it cramped or tables full with nowhere to sit. We are always up and out early so we were one of a few at breakfast soon as it opened. No lift at the hotel which wasn’t an issue for us but can imagine it is for some. You do need to leave your key every time you leave the hotel which was no hardship as someone is always on reception when you get back. All in all a great hotel. Perfect location for exploring Venice. We used the hotel basically to sleep, shower and for breakfast, most of the day was spent out, only coming back to freshen up and get changed. Venice is truly spectacular. I’ve booked to go back and stay at this hotel again at Easter.

I made a reservation to this hotel from bookingçcom. when I reached the hotel the guy wanted to charge the full amount for my 2 year old baby. my price was 69 usd and he said he will charge another 39usd for the baby. If you are not happy the price which I booked, you should change it from that site instead of looking for something extra. Don't go that hotel, trust me there much more beatiful hotels around San Marco. I recommed you to stay in Marco Polo.

Dear Nihat, as we told you when you arrived the room you reserved (an economy room) is not for three persons, even if the third one is a baby. Economy rooms are smaller than the standard one, with one french bed and no place for an extra cot/bed. It's perfect for young couples, not for families. It's the law that say that, not our choice: it's all depending on square metres, and the law says that in an economy room could sleep two persons only. When you reserved on Booking you did not put 2 adults and 1 child, guess why? Because it's not possible to put this in an economy room reservation, so you put just two adults. Also because only children younger than 2 can sleep in parents' bed in a standard room, so even the standard room was not right for you. We proposed you to stay in a standard room with an extra cot for 69 euros economy price +10 euros for the upgrade (check Booking site) + 13 euros for the cot and you did not accept. So we were happy to loose even the 69 and allow you to go somewhere else without make you pay any fee to us or Booking. Thanks for your review that allow us to explain rules regarding the number of persons allowed in hotel rooms.
