Travelers' Choice
This palace was a rich and magnificent residence of an aristocratic Venetian family, now it is an elegant and refined 3 stars Hotel, completely restored. The Hotel enjoys of an interesting position, preferred by the intellectuals and artists, searching for quiet and inspiration. Inside the Hotel, at the entrance, there is a stoned staircase that goes from the lobby to the second floor, once called "piano nobile", where there are some rooms. The intelligent restoration has effected a correct and balanced compromise between aesthetical demands and the non-renounced functional requirements, essential an hotel that wants to keep step with the times. The rooms, in typical Venetian style, are furnished with elegance and good taste, with all comforts (private bathroom with bathtub, hairdryer, cable TV, direct dial telephone, mini-bar, air-conditioned, coffee and thea machine). Our clients can also enjoy of a lightly and roomy sitting-room on the second floor, a bar on the ground floor with a free internet point, and a nice and big veranda overlooking the garden, where the buffet breakfast is served in the morning.

This small hotel has a good location with walking distance to both communication to/from Venice as well to the main tourist attractions. Nice and welcoming staff in reception and at breakfast. Rooms clean and at a good size but a very small bathroom.

Wow, great location . Great value. Staff really wonderful, 24 hours a day. Breakfast good too. All Hotels have difficulties with having to serve you breakfast. You can go up to order and collect, as long as when you stand up you war a mask. Venice is naturally quieter. St Marks quieter in the afternoon. Tourists are back.obviously not cruise ships, Americans generally, but Europeans driving and flying there too. Time to visit - long weekend or, as we did, a week. Put money back into Venice. They welcomed us. Restaurants and Museums ( the latter checking our temperature too) want and welcome us. This Hotel is filling up. Do it! Book it ..while they have space? BA flight from Heathrow was full. Took a while with subtle, but enforced, temp checking.Allow extra time. Forms to fill out( do it before!) both ways. Italy is proudly safer than UK and other countries. Large penalties for not wearing masks on Waterbuses, in Shops, going into restaurants...think it’s €1000 . And children are wearing them too. In Venice quite a lot of people are wearing them whilst walking around too. Enjoy!

arrived amid world concerns on the virus, the hotel full of charm and character is very clean and well kept during our stay. we stayed in a room on the first floor which had painted ceilings a good sized bathroom with a bath and shower. the bed was very comfortable with good quality linen and a added bonus of tea and coffee. staff were very friendly and helpful due to a early flight home they opened the breakfast room up early for us. hotel is slightly away from the main sites which are only a few minutes walk away or a waterbus ride away. bus stop is less than a 5 min walk away. plenty of cafes etc near by and a vibrant square behind the tower which is a great place to relax in. if i was to return to venice i would stay here again

We stayed two nights in this pretty, quirky small hotel and found no fault. Great location just a few minutes walk from the Ca Rezzonico stop (from Marco Polo airport take the Alilaguna boat - orange line 15 Euros one way). It's about a 20 minute walk to St Marks Square, 10 minutes to the Peggy G art museum. The surrounding area is pretty with lots of bars and restaurants which are, in the main, reasonably priced. The hotel itself is traditionally decorated with Murano glass light fittings and paintings on the ceiling. While we were there, they were refurbing the reception area (which we were warned of before we travelled) but we only saw the work taking place during the day when we popped back to drop off some shopping - by early evening the area was put back together so it was managed quite smoothly. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were on the 3rd floor and were offered help with taking our bags. There is a steep stone staircase so you may want to consider asking for a lower floor room if you have mobility issues. Our room was very clean, beds were very comfortable. We heard no noise from other guests which made us think we might be the only ones there, but at breakfast there were plenty other guests! We had a walk-in 'wardrobe' space which was a good size, there's a safe and mini-bar fridge with enough room to put your own drinks to keep cool. There was a kettle and tea/coffee/milk - which was topped up during the stay. Our room didn't have a seperate shower - just one on the bathtub but no way to use it standing up - it wasn't a huge problem for our two nights. Breakfast was usual breads, cereals cold meats etc. Overall, this hotel was a good choice and was very good value for money - I would definitely stay here again.
