The building is very nice and very well decorated. The family room is very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent regarding the quality and the variety of options to eat. The location is very convenient.

We return to the Flora time and time again. Whilst the rooms are not large, nor the bathroom super modern, its location, boutique-style and personal service make this the only place for us. It is tucked away off the equivalent of Venice's Bond Street (London), and just a few minutes (literally) walk from Piazza San Marco. Breakfast is delightful -...

Hotel Flora is tucked away down a side alley only a couple of minutes walk from Piazza San Marco in the heart of Venice. It exudes old world charm from the moment you walk through the door. Staff are helpful and courteous, rooms on the small side but comfortable. The breakfasts are outstanding an there is a small courtyard at...

Enjoyed the short stay at Flora Hotel. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and very helpful. Location is strategically in San Marco making it easy to roam about in Venice. Breakfast was so so so awesome!! Ohh and the bed mattress was just too comfortable! Highly recommended and would definitely return here.

It took me a while to write this review as I did not have any time before.... My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Flora for four nights starting June 23rd, 2016 (the day of Brexit). I believe we we stayed in Room 38 on the first floor, next to the courtyard. The hotel is a small boutique hotel...

We were pleasantly surprised by the personalized and attentive service we received at Hotel Flora! Every staff member we encountered was super-friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean, well-appointed and had everything we needed. The complimentary breakfast was generous, varied and delicious and included the best homemade pastries we had in Italy! Bravo!

My wife and I had a great time staying at Hotel Flora. The staff coudn't have been more helpful and eager to assist. The breakfast was wonderful each morning. This is also a great location, very close to St. Mark's piazza.

Booked a Family Suite (two separate bedrooms given on a floor with an additional bathroom) which worked out well for this family of 4 with two teenage daughters. Location is very convenient close to sightseeing, vaporetto etc., yet away from the crowds tucked away in a side alley. But the best were the front desk staff that went out of...

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
