Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.

Stefano Fiore and his team had been responsible that we had marvellous days in Venice! Thank you so much Stefano. The hygiene concept had been managed also perfect. Room, service, tidiness...simply all had been great. We promised to come back definitely! This likely, completely renovated Hotel with it’s more traditional style, is located in the Arsenal District. So it takes you only some minutes to walk from the hotel to Marcus Place and also to discover all the narrow alleys in the Arsenal district. Every room has a bright view to the lagoon. Within an easy walking distance you“ll have easy access to Venice public transport system called „vaporetto“. It make sense to therefore to book a your fully stay lasting ticket. There is no word to describe Venice! Stayin once, you’ll fall in love suddenly. We definitely will come back soon and of course will stay again in “our” Bucintoro close to the centre but besides all the touristic hectic of Venice. Stefano, see you and your team hopefully soon again - and we consider visiting once more Florence but staying this time at the sister of the Bucintoro, the ‚Golden Tower‘! Stefano, stay healthy! Best Sami & Simone

Everything was perfect in this newly renovated hotel: the kindness of the staff from our arrival until the end of our stay, the location away from the crowds, but nevertheless very central and - above all - the fantastic view from our room - 180 ° of Venice pure. Hope to be back soon!

Wonderful location with view on the Laguna and San Marco church. Superior rooms are small, cosy, decorated like a ship cabin. Romantic. Staff is nice and helpful. Highly recommended. Perfetta posizione con vista Laguna e San Marco, stanze accoglienti decorate come la cabina di una nave, personale gentile e accogliente. Vivamente raccomandato.

What a magnificent place to stay. Just 10 minutes by foot from San Marco and the most extraordinary views of the bay and town from our bedroom window. A clean, smart bedroom and very good breakfast each morning. And extremely kind and helpful service!

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Bucintoro. The room was ultra clean, nicely decorated, air conditioned and what a beautiful view we had! The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and you can eat outside facing the lagoon. The situation of the hotel is perfect, with a ten-minutes walk to the Piazza San Marco.
