Excellent Hotel.. The staff were amazing going the extra mile at all times. Food was amazing and the location was perfect. I would highly recommend a stay at this Hotel. Only walking distance to St Marks square too.
We loved our stay here. The room was clean and comfortable and had a massive bathroom. We loved its character. It is situated in a street with lots of designer shops but a short walk away from main attractions and the water bus. Hotel staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. Great Buffett breakfast.
Loved this hotel, an old building with comfort and excellent facilities. Staff always warm, welcoming and helpful. Great breakfast selection. We just loved our stay here. It is on a street with modern shops but a short walk away from the Grand Canal, other main attractions and water buses.
This hotel was perfect for us, with a great location, nice bar, fantastic breakfast and lovely staff. The roof top terrace is also a lovely spot but a little too chilly whilst we were there. The room was a decent size with coffee making facilities and a really nice bathroom containing a bath and overhead shower, toiletries and a hairdryer were provided and there was plenty of storage space. There is construction work going on in the vicinity of the hotel but it only disturbed us on one of the three mornings, although we weren’t in the room that much. There was no noise in the evenings in fact it was one of the quietest hotel rooms I’ve slept in. I’d have no hesitation going back to stay again.
We stayed at this hotel in early March. It was a wonderful experience. We arrived from the train station and water taxied to the hotel (60 euro). It was low tide, so they could not reach the dock. It was a very small walk to the hotel with our luggage. No problem! We were placed in a room with a small loft. My children (11yo and 9yo) were over the moon excited! The room was beautiful. Loved the bathroom layout and loved the toiletry soaps. The room did get a little warm but we were able to open the door to the room to cool down a bit. There was construction going on. We did hear it in the morning but we were up and ready to get going, so it didn't bother us. The location of the hotel was fantastic. I loved that I could easily walk to St. Mark's Square early in the morning before the rest of my family was up. Easy to get to major attractions and easy to get to the Vaporetto. The breakfast was the best breakfast we had during our whole stay in Italy. My kids loved the fresh squeezed OJ and the pancakes. My older daughter has celiac and they had pre-packaged gluten free options for crackers/muffins. Plus they had hard boiled eggs. Plus, when I asked, they were able to tell me/find out what meats and cheeses were gluten free. Really great service! There is a ATM in the lobby of the hotel, which was convenient. We used the hotel transport to get to the airport after checkout (180 euro). It was well worth it for us. Taxi to car service, Car service to airport. They helped with our luggage and our driver walked us all the way in to the airline check-in. FYI, we arrived 3 hours prior to departure and got to our gate 10 minutes into boarding for our flight. Check in at Delta was pretty slow and security at Marco Polo was single line and immensely slow. Give yourself enough time. Overall loved this hotel, breakfast and location!!…
It’s hard to understand how this hotel has received such great reviews! Firstly however, the location and appearance of the hotel was amazing, unfortunately this is all this hotel had to offer. We checked in and were shown to our room, which unfortunately was located on the top floor right next to the lift, so the noise was horrendous. Not only was the noise from the lift a problem, we were greeted with construction work on the roof outside our window. The following morning we complained and the staff were happy to change our room, construction work was being done due to a ‘disease’ which I imagine must have been aspestos. We unpacked in our second room and noticed ants absolutely everywhere, we went to reception again and complained. We were greeted with, we can either spray the ants or pack up and we will move you rooms again, which with a child and a toddler was not ideal. Finally, third time lucky we arrived in our final room, which was pleasant, however still had the same construction work which you could seem to hear all over the hotel. I understand that construction work has to go ahead, however a little heads up would have been appreciated! This was our first trip to Venice, and the hotel Saturnia put a massive dampener on it! We would love to return to the city but this hotel will be the very bottom of our list!…
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice with its beautiful architecture and decor. The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are beautiful and clean with all the facilities you need and situated in the centre of Venice - just a short walk to St Mark’s Square. The breakfast was great with a wide variety of food available.
We had such a lovely time at the Hotel Saturnia in Venice. From the start, staff were very polite, friendly and helpful - I was very impressed. The room was very nicely decorated and the Rituals shampoo/shower gel/soap etc were a great touch. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, and we enjoyed a night cap in the bar each evening. It was really easy to get dropped off nearby for our water taxi, and the location was great for some of the main tourist attractions eg St Mark’s Basilica. Will definitely stay here again when we return to Venice.
Absolutely amazing hotel. Perfect location opposite all the high end designer shops. 5 minutes walk from st marks square. Everything you need is a stone throw away. The hotel it’s self is beautiful and the staff are really friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back here again!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are beautiful and clean with all the facilities you need and situated in the centre of Venice. We loved it and will book again to go back to this beautiful hotel!
