This is absolutely the only place you should stay in Venice. From the location, the gorgeous rooms, the owners and atmosphere, everything was perfect. Right next to the Rialto bridge in a beautifully renovated palazzo, complete with a balcony to have the best scrambled eggs you will ever taste or a drink, overlooking a sprawling view of the Grand canal. The 9 rooms are absolutely spotless, comfortable, spacious and decorated beautifully, no detail is forgotten. Best of all is the owners and the staff of the hotel. The whole team made this one of, if not the best hotel stay of my life. From the second you walk in the hotel, with a warm friendly greeting and a tour, to amazing recommendations for visits and small, delicious restaurants. You can see the owners are very passionate and proud of their hotel and they have reason to! They truly anticipated our every need, knew our breakfast order by the second day, and did everything they could to make our stay unforgettable. We will absolutely be back!

From the moment we stepped in the door, my wife and I both knew that this was truly a special place. The location of this hotel is excellent. The terrace has a magical view of the Grand Canal. The room decor is baroque style and definitely a wonderful tribute to that era with the attention to detail of the furniture and fittings. The staff was very helpful, providing helpful directions on finding our way around - credit to Matteo, Barbara and their team. The breakfast was excellent, and included custom-cooked omelettes and cakes. We will be back to Al Ponte Antico as soon as we can. Grazie! Lucia & Matej

We’ve rarely had an easier choice to make when deciding where to stay in a city – one glimpse of the Al Ponte Antico’s beautiful rooms and fabulous terrace and the decision was made. Fortunately, we were not given pause by the room rates, which are very reasonable for a hotel which offers so much. Matteo and Barbara are wonderful hosts and have somehow gathered together a team of staff members who are equally committed to this beautiful building and its guests. Igor was on duty for the majority of our stay and he looked after us with exemplary care. We saw a great deal of Venice during our long stay, but we always felt most connected to the city when sipping a spritz on the terrace of Al Ponte Antico.

Dear Barbara, Bruno, Alex and Igor, we just wanted to drop you a quick note to say a big thank you for a fantastic stay at your beautiful property, as well as the upgrade to the amazing canal view room! From the minute we arrived by river taxi and were greeted by the lovely Igor with a big warm smile as we docked on to the pier, we were overwhelmed. We absolutely LOVED the feel of the hotel, everything is so authentic and personal and with so much attention to detail. In my industry, I see so many hotels which thrill for different reasons and have something distinct to offer to a group or individual traveller, however your property is really something special and both Markus and I cant wait to be back=) We have already recommended you to our friends so more lovely German people coming your way =) Until then, all the very best from sunny Germany, Natalie & Markus

What a fantastic hotel. The service is impeccable, all members of staff went out of their way to ensure we had the best possible stay in Venice. The terrace overlooking the Rialto Bridge must be the best spot in town for an apperitivo. Breakfast was a delicious home made feast and the room was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend for your stay in beautiful Venice.
