This was a 3 night weekend break with friends. The hotel was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful at all times and made our stay so much more memorable. Excellent location on the lagoon front, 5 mins walk from St Marks Square and less to the water taxis. Good breakfast. Loved it.
My wife and I were in Venice in June, with our granddaughter. The Hotel Locanda Vivaldi had been our choice two years ago, until Covid doused that plan, so when travel resumed we knew where we wanted to stay in Venice. We can't say enough about the staff, which showed flexibility in acknowledging our pre-Covid deposit, and as our dates changed only shortly before we arrived. The staff is also courteous and helpful, for example meeting our request to have a room adjacent to our granddaughter's. The hotel itself is perfectly located: only a short walk to Piazza San Marco, yet a serene, quiet respite from the bustle outside. It would be foolish to stay anywhere else in Venice.
This beautiful hotel is ideally located and the room was a "Wow, how beautiful" with its double aspect windows and views over the lagoon towards St Marks. The large room was exactly as you would expect with silk on the walls and antique furniture. The breakfast included bacon and eggs and was great. The fantastic young waiter was also the bell boy and played a few other roles as well. The hotel has its own beautiful boat which took us free to the glass factory at Murano. In January 2023, the room cost about €1,000 for 5 nights.
Stayed at this hotel for a Birthday break and have to say it was fantastic 😊 Perfect location and very comfortable and quiet room Classic suite Room 1 The view wasn’t the best but as we where only sleeping there it didn’t matter. The staff where amazing especially the housekeepers The room was spotless every day. Breakfast was also really good and the reception team where brilliant Thanks for a great stay. The location was also amazing and the water bus back to the airport at €15 was an absolute bargain 😊 Loved Venice
This was the perfect location in Venice! Walking distance to all of the areas we wanted to see and easy access to shopping and delicious food and drink. Hotel personnel were all very helpful, welcoming and kind. Our rooms were beautiful and overlooked the lagoon. The rooftop bar and restaurant provided a respite from our busy schedule. We would definitely stay here again.
I've just come back from a wonderful four night stay in Venice. Couldn't have asked for anything more from this hotel. The position of it is ideal. A few mins walk from at mark's Square. Inside the hotel everything is spotless, beds most comfortable I've slept in at a hotel. The staff very polite and attentive nothing is too much trouble. If I could go back to Venice I would definitely choose this hotel again.
We had a wonderful experience at Locanda Vivaldi. It was our first time visiting Italy this past September and Venice was our first stop. The hotel was very quaint and is in the perfect location. We were walking distance to restaurants, shops, Doge’s Palace, and the alilaguna water taxis. We also loved the breakfast at the hotel. The pastries were delicious and they had a nice variety of beeakfast options to order. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay here very much and would definitely stay here again in the future!
I did a lot of research before picking this hotel. They responded with my numerous e mails I arranged with them a private water taxi for airport All went smoothly We were celebrating our 40 th anniversary here. I let them pick the place it was wonderful Everything we asked for was dealt with happiness Our first night here we were exhausted The restaurant was on the same flor as our room I just wanted a soup The chef made us a zucchini soup. They brought to our room wonderful We bought a 7 day ferry pass an$ went all over Just a note. Watch your backpacks We we’re in the Ducerdo area and went to recheck where we wanted to eat Our backpack was broken into My journal with all the notes of places to eat & see were gone. My Tiffany prescription glasses gone. My pink shawl gone and my money pouch I feel thankful we had no credit cards with money and my I phone was in a zipped section. My husband felt nothing We had a jr suite with balcony 302. Very quiet Restaurant now open Breakfast great. We even ordered in room a few times I am so very happy with my choice…
This is a nice, clean, hotel in a great location facing the water. It is in an old palace--as are so many hotels in Venice and Italy and near many attractions. Bedding could be more comfortable but that is a matter of preference. Breakfast is served, not buffet style, and is bountiful. Air conditioning is minimal but at least they have it.
We stayed here for 3 nights before our cruise! We paid for a room overlooking the grand canal which was lovely. Good location for walking to the main sights. Would have preferred a buffet breakfast but to be fair there was plenty to eat you just had to order when you sat down. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
