This palatial jewel of a hotel is beautiful inside and out. Everyone, management, staff, concierge, housekeeping, restaurant. Everything about the Gritti palace is 10/10. Before we even arrived at the hotel, we required urgent assistance. The urgency was related to our flight. Without going into details, I can only say that but for the quick thinking and professionalism of the most amazing management at the Gritti Palace our entire trip would have been derailed. Exquisite suites & common areas in a tranquil setting on the Grand canal. When you are staying or dining at the Gritti Palace, along the grand Canal, you truly feel regal. I’ve stayed in Venice before but I will never stay anywhere but the Gritti Palace in the future. Thank you thank you thank you thank you for everything you did to make our stay Amazing. You cared for my daughter until my arrival like she was your family. When I arrived I cried I was so happy to see her sitting along the grand Canal in your beautiful restaurant. You will love this hotel and the people who make it so special.

The hotel looks very unique and that’s why we chose it. It’s one of the very few hotels to have a deck on the main canal with a large restaurant. The rooms here are smaller than in other countries (unless you’re paying mid-5-figures per night) and we had booked a room a few levels up from the standard one and we were upgraded to a bigger room complimentary. The staff is nice, though not on a level of say, Ritz Paris. We found the staff less willing to help, less pleasant overall (more courteous than pleasant tbh). It’s Venice, so you’ll get boat pickups at the hotel’s dock and you’re close to shopping and it’s a really unique place to visit. We took the Riva boat tour that the hotel offers which was very nice. Burano was great. When we stopped in Murano on the boat tour, we were met right off the boat with a gentleman who guided us through a glass-making shop...which was alright, but I would highly recommend you decline this offer and just roam the town alone (if you take the boat tour). You’re not obligated to follow the gentleman into the glass factory (it’s kind of a scam and TBH we were put off by this part of the boat tour). Overall, I highly recommend staying at the Gritti if you’re planning on going to Venice for that traditional luxury vibe.

Gritti Palace is beautiful and really enhanced our trip to Venice. The staff is effusively helpful and friendly, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the rooms are extravagantly decorated. My only complaint would be that the WiFi was not very reliable, particularly at night-- it was not reliable enough to support a Zoom video or streaming service, which is a bit disappointing given the price of the hotel. All in all though, this really is a luxurious hotel experience and I would highly recommend it.
