The Colombina is centrally located in the heart of Venice, just a few steps from St. Mark’s Square. The noble Venetian palace which accommodates the hotel faces one of the world’s most famous gondola serenades canal and boasts a breath-taking view on the Bridge of Sighs and the spires of San Marco Basilica. Guests can feel the elegant Venetian atmosphere, surrounded by the quietness of the city, rocked by the serenades of the gondoliers and by all the comforts of a modern hotel situated in one of, if not the most, romantic cities in the world....Locanda Remedio is the dependance of the Colombina, it is rated 3 stars and is located in an annex building just behind the Colombina Palazzo and connected via a private Venetian courtyard.

We booked the Jr Suite with canal views. The room was beautiful and had 2 windows that overlooked the canals however, we literally had to hang out the windows to see the views. We arrived early to leave our bags so we could explore. The staff was nice enough but didn’t explain anything to us about the area or that they provided a free boat tour to Murano (they drop you off at a glass blowing factory for a 45 Min tour)…we saw them giving another couple a map of the area and explaining all about the nearby sights and about the free boat to Murano but they never told us anything. The employee who took our bags to store them was very unfriendly and never spoke or cracked a smile. I had messaged the hotel a few times about questions and requests and they only answered some of my questions and ignored my requests that I had. They did leave a complimentary fruit basket in our room but I think they do that for everyone. When we arrived at the Venice airport, we had rented a car and parked 20 mins away at a garage and then caught a private taxi straight to the hotel for 70 euros but when we had the hotel get us a taxi when we left Venice, they said it would be 95 euros ..so 25 more than if we would have found our own. The hotel offers breakfast for a fee but we never ate there so I can’t comment on the food. The hotel had a very small bar area and a small jetty that was big enough for one couple to sit outside on. The hotel was a 4-5 minute walk from St Marks Square so it was very conveniently located. All in all, we would stay here again but think the staff needs more training.

We stayed in the annex part of the hotel through a courtyard the first impression was not. good the concrete on the steps was falling off the room itself was ok but there was no T Making facilities in the room and to get one in room it meant going out of building across courtyard into main building then back again and also for a 4star hotel there was no complimentary bathroom toiletries breakfast needs to be better the only hot food is bacon and scrambled egg which is not filled up when being used so every morning people were waiting for either eggs or bacon or both

Wow!! This hotel is perfect in every way, the location is minutes from StMarks square but far enough away to have lots of restaurants and bars that are reasonably priced. It’s not a modern hotel but has everything you need with that touch of romantic elegance you expect in Venice. Taxis come upto the canal entrance of the hotel and we had room 405 which had its own private roof terrace with great views of the tower and the bridge of sigh’s plus roof top views all around. The room was very quiet too If I ever returned to Venice I would only stay at the Hotel Colombina Thankyou

This really is a great hotel to see Venice from, only a short walk fron San Marco Square and right on one of the waterways with a view of the Bridge of Sighs. The hotel itself is very beautiful and clean in typical Venetian style with very friendly and helpful staff( as getting lost in Venice is so easy) and the breakfast is really good too. We got the Alilaguna boat from Marco Polo airport to Rialto "B" on the Grand canal and walked from there (about 10 mins using Google maps). Fabulous city and a fabulous hotel.

Great little hotel near Plaza San Marco but still off the beaten path. Lovely staff. Tiny rooms. There’s a nice waiting area and cute little bar. Easy to walk to everything. Gondoliers right outside. Water taxi could pull up to front. Clean but tiny.

We stayed at the Hotel Colombina in April 2022. The location was great, staff was outstanding (especially Manuel, Roxanna and Andrea), room was beautiful and the complimentary water taxi to Murano was a treat. We would definitely stay there again, should we return to Venice! Highly recommend.

Perfect location, very spacious room & friendly staff! Although the hotel is near everything the location is still lovely and quiet. Would recommend to stay here while in Venice. The private water taxi from the airport transfer was also fabulous when arriving to the hotel & would encourage to do this.
