The only good thing about this hotel is the proximity to the train station other than it’s dismal with absolutely no customer service. We had to carry our own bags to our room and the times we tried calling the front desk for assistance, no one answered. I have stayed at other NH Collection hotels and this one is not up to the standards of the franchise.

Hotel's Favorite
We stayed at this hotel two years ago for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was absolutely lovely, and we had the best experience with the staff and accomodations. The front desk person even went to college in my old hometown in NC! We had a great room on the top floor off of the large balcony. We are getting ready to book another trip to Venice with two more people in the next couple of weeks, and I am wondering what style (deluxe, superior, etc.) the room would be listed under. We want the same area of rooms if possible as we spent a lot of time on the terrace in the evenings, and will have extra guests that will need a room up there too. Thank you in advance!

Disappointing and not what expected. The staff was rude, the room was very noisy with a strong smell, you can hear people from other rooms at night. Very dated and worn-out and for some reason they hide the name..

We did not plan to spend time in Venice. However after repeated change of plans due to airlines changing our travel itinerary we found a convenient one that also resulted in a transit through Venice. Faced with this we could not say no to spending a couple of days in this famous city. We spent a lot of time trying to find a hotel, and we were especially concerned that our train would arrive after 21:30. We chose NH mostly due to the location. It took us just few minutes from the time the train stopped until we were at the front desk and the check in was also very fast. The room, was, as requested, in a quiet part and on an upper floor. We did not notice problems with the internet, but granted we did not spend too much time in the room, apart from sleeping. The rooms were large and, while some of the furniture seemed dated, everything was working well and the space looked very clean. You can see the transition from Bellini to NH as some of the toiletries were labeled NH and some were not. We also had breakfast, and found it quite good.

It ist the first time, when i can not say: did i clearly liked or disliked the hotel. I have made my choice, because i had earlier experience with NH Hotels and i hoped NH Santa Lucia will meet the certain standards of NH, to which i got used to. Unfortunately, it has not met expectations. The good and great things were: + location (literally steps away from train station) + visual (hotel is magically photogenic, both outside and inside) + superb; mega bathroom (stayed at standard "new design" room). The bathroom was giant, it had giant pool-sized bathtube. It was all made up with real marble! It had rain shower and normal shower. The quality and pressure of water were perfect. I must say, after lo-o-ong walks around Venice - this bath saved my life and well-being. + great quality of amenities (bath towels, bathrobes) + charming hotel staff (some of them looked and behaved like from the movie) + reasonably comfortable beds + elevator But then there were some things, which i can not forgive to hotel, belonging to hotels chain, in year 2021: - no Wi-Fi in the rooms (there was some network, but it is not tuned to accept any Apple device, and for my Windows laptop it only allowed 5 minutes long connection) - TV not working - no any tea/coffee facility in the rooms - no any free bottle of water - breakfasts are nothing to mention (if you got used to beautiful NH Hotels breakfasts, you will not get them here) I dont want to make any final judgement. The hotel has its "+" and "-". Actually it is more good, than bad. The only advise: if you have any general expectations from "NH brand" - dont put them on this hotel, when making your choice.
