Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighborhood identity.

What a great location. Authentic, beautifully decorated Venetian room overlooking the grand canal. Quite small, no tea making facilities in the room, but comfortable, although rather hot as the air con was off as it was January. Therefore we had the windows open, but that

Hi. We did this and think it was 120 euro. Drops you off right outside the door 👍 was a great way to arrive. I had bought public taxi water boat tickets inside airport. Got to stand and found wait/queue was 1.5 to 2 hours. Walked along jetty and immediately got private taxi. Well worth it, arrive in style. Coming back, we walked about 5 mins from hotel and took a car taxicab, loads waiting there and think was around 30-40 Euro

Push walker should work, but for shower you need to ask the hotel as we had a bathtub. Also pay attention to room, as intermediate stairs exist between main building and back part.

Sorry, I cannot help on this point as we stayed just in late October and didn’t need it. However, I would imagine that it is still on as you can control it from your room directly. Why don’t you send a message to the hotel. They speak English.

Not sure but we did buy a mask in Morano, it was locally made and probably best price compared with every where else.
