Alessandro is a fantastic host and very good cook! He prepared wonderful breakfast for the guests everyday. And he gave great suggestions what u should do/eat in Venice. The house is well kept and always clean. And conveniently located as well.

We stayed here for 3 nights and haven't a single gripe or complaint. Alessandro is the warmest most welcoming host you could hope for. There are two rooms with a shared wash and bathroom facility which is kept absolutely spotless. The B and B is a 10 minute walk from the train station. Breakfast was a feast for the eyes... More

The B&B is situated in the Cannaregio area which is beautiful. The B&B is amazing - the room was very spacious, clean and had a fridge in the room which comes in handy! Alessandro can not do enough for you. He welcomed us with a drink and some handy tips and suggestions for our stay (which all turned out to... More

This was an amazing experience to stay in Alessandro's b&b. We were there only for one night but I already dare to say that it is probably one of the best places to stay in Venice. You feel super welcome and in the morning you get breakfast on the hotel standard. Bed is most comfortable ever!! Location is just perfect... More

I booked this very early and I booked based on the reviews. I am proud and delighted to say that every review confirms what has been said. Alessandro is an amazing host. We arrived from Florence and came to Venice station. The B&B is literally 7 mins away from the station and the instructions he gives on the website are... More

My friend and I had a wonderful stay here- we left feeling completely relaxed! Alessandro was a great host and we looked forward each morning to the delicious breakfast spread and friendly conversation. The location of the BnB was ideal - close by to the waterbus stop and surrounded by beautiful canals. I would highly recommend this place!

My husband and I arrived quite late and were welcomed with drinks and cheese and salami. Alessandro is a wonderful host and owner of a very nice B&B. When my mother and I arrived, Alessandro kindly offered us bread, cheese, and drinks while he provided us with a map of the city with suggestions for the best seafood, pizza, and sightseeing. The room was stylish, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast Alessandro cooked in the morning was... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.

We can be easily reached from Venice's main arrival terminal: train station (Santa Lucia), bus station (Piazzale Roma) or car parking (Tronchetto), both being just a few minutes away.
