Venice-BB-Venezia is a small and comfortable b&b located on the second floor of a historic 15th century building in the very center of Venice, where you will experience an authentic Venetian lifestyle in the true spirit of bed and breakfast. Nestled in a quiet garden, Venice-BB-Venezia is located in the Cannaregio sestiere, between the Ponte delle Guglie (Spires Bridge), the famous Casino and the Ghetto vecchio (old Jewish Ghetto), a short walk to Ponte di Rialto (Rialto Bridge) and Piazza San Marco (St. Mark's Square), and in close proximity to a colourful green market. We can be easily reached from Venice's main arrival terminal: train station (Santa Lucia), bus station (Piazzale Roma) or car parking (Tronchetto), both being just a few minutes away. From the main airport (Marco Polo) you can reach us very easily by waterbus or bus. Alessandro

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.

Alessandro took care of me like a brother! Every morning there was a feast of a breakfast waiting for me. He gave me advice on things to do and neighborhoods to go to that made me feel like I was a local Venetian. His place has such charm that I felt like I really had my own apartment - my own home - in Venice. And I loved the convenience of the location and the charm of the neighborhood. I was so happy that I had chosen Alessandro's place to stay.

The location is strategic and near to every key place in Venice. The house decor is original and the house comfortable, the room is spacious and clean, the bed comfortable. Breakfast time, a part of the delicious food that Alessandro prepare in the morning, is a great time to learn more about Venice hidden spots. Alessandro, the host, is a lovely person and care of every detail for making you feel home,

Alessandro is the best airbnb host I've had. He was flexible with check-in times: he allowed us to bring our bags in earlier and he served us breakfast even though we hadn't really checked in yet. He has breakfast options for everyone. He responded very promptly and gave us useful local tips and a map. The place itself is in a great location as it's really close to the train station. The place is clean and the decoration is also great. I highly recommend!

Alessandro's B&B was extremely clean, comfortable and quiet. It was a very comfortable place to come back to after walking around all day. Alessandro prepared a bountiful breakfast for us every morning and was there to give us suggestions for our day. I really enjoyed those conversations with him. He has an exuberant personality and lots of enthusiasm for living in Venice.

Alessandro’s place is by far the best place I’ve ever stayed in and the best host I’ve met! The place is so clean, located near the train station, and overall a really amazing place to stay when you’re in Venice. He’s also a very funny, kind, and cooks the best breakfast and play the best breakfast music! His local tips are very useful too! Don’t hesitate to stay at Alessandro’s place when you’re in Venice. Hopefully I get to stay at your place again :)
