I booked this very early and I booked based on the reviews. I am proud and delighted to say that every review confirms what has been said. Alessandro is an amazing host. We arrived from Florence and came to Venice station. The B&B is literally 7 mins away from the station and the instructions he gives on the website are... More

My friend and I had a wonderful stay here- we left feeling completely relaxed! Alessandro was a great host and we looked forward each morning to the delicious breakfast spread and friendly conversation. The location of the BnB was ideal - close by to the waterbus stop and surrounded by beautiful canals. I would highly recommend this place!

Venice-BB-Venezia was our first stop on our way 10 week holiday. We had never been to Venice before and Alessandro was the perfect host to show us the ropes. We arrived early and he made us very welcome and served us some breakfast. Beautiful spread every day! Alessandro gave us some great restaurant recommendations and then took us on his... More

Would absolutely recommend this B&B. Alessandro the owner is very kind and hospitable and has a great sense of humour. My husband and I arrived quite late and were welcomed with drinks and cheese and salami. Alessandro is an expert on Venice - he booked tables for us and gave us excellent tips on what to see, best times to... More

Alessandro is a wonderful host and owner of a very nice B&B. When my mother and I arrived, Alessandro kindly offered us bread, cheese, and drinks while he provided us with a map of the city with suggestions for the best seafood, pizza, and sightseeing. The room was stylish, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast Alessandro cooked in the morning was... More

Visited at the end of April. Alessandro is your host and he tries very hard to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. The moment he greets you upon arrival his charming manner puts you at ease. (You will need to let him know what time you are going to arrive so that he can be there to meet you.)... More

Alessandro is an amazing host. As previous reviews have stated his breakfasts are generous and excellent quality. He also makes a very mean cappuccino! The rooms are very comfortable and extremely clean. The shared bathroom was not an issue for us. The wi if was great! The location, is incredibly beautiful we loved It away from the normal tourist haunts.... More

I loved this B&B. Alessandro made me feel really welcome - and makes an amazing breakfast! This was definitely my favourite place to stay out of the two weeks I was in Italy - I am definitely going to consider staying here the next time I am in Venice!

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.

Venice-BB-Venezia is a small and comfortable b&b located on the second floor of a historic 15th century building in the very center of Venice, where you will experience an authentic Venetian lifestyle in the true spirit of bed and breakfast. Nestled in a quiet garden, Venice-BB-Venezia is located in the Cannaregio sestiere, between the Ponte delle Guglie (Spires Bridge), the famous Casino and the Ghetto vecchio (old Jewish Ghetto), a short walk to Ponte di Rialto (Rialto Bridge) and Piazza San Marco (St. Mark's Square), and in close proximity to a colourful green market. We can be easily reached from Venice's main arrival terminal: train station (Santa Lucia), bus station (Piazzale Roma) or car parking (Tronchetto), both being just a few minutes away. From the main airport (Marco Polo) you can reach us very easily by waterbus or bus. Alessandro & Gina ... more   less
