We booked a junior suite, which was very roomy, plus had an UNBELIEVABLE view of the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge. We had a five star room and view, at a three star price!! This was our second stay at Hotel Rialto and will definitely return.

Wow, love Venice!! Stayed in the Annex I room 501. The room was huge, clean, well decorated and contained the biggest bed I've ever been in. The view from our room looked straight out on to the grand canal and the Rialto Bridge. Loved just sitting in the window and watching the river traffic and listening to the hustle and... More

Absolutely fantastic location, facilities and staff, all at a reasonable price. Would not look for anywhere else to stay if we get back again. Water taxis at door, San Marco 5-6 minutes walk, lots of eating options and shopping all around you.

This is the second time we've stayed at Hotel Rialto. The location is great, especially if this is your first visit to Venice and you are unsure of where you are going. The hotel is situated right next to the famous Rialto Bridge (so when you're out and about you will always see a sign heading back in the direction... More

Hotel Rialto is located next to the famous Rialto bridge and is in the perfect location. We had an excellent balcony view overlooking the Lagoon and Rialto bridge. It is about a 10 minute (give or take) walk to the beautiful St. Mark's square. There is a nice little Cafe to the left of the Hotel with a perfect view... More

Beautiful hotel. An old building that's both charming and modern. Very helpful staff. I could not think of a better spot in Venice to stay.the view of the canal and the Rialto bridge was mesmerizing. The breakfast was a delightful addition.

Very close to all the popular tourist attractions. Clean, comfortable rooms. Spacious modern bathroom. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast buffet included. Some stairs may be needed to access your room. Elevator gets you close, but many small hallways and stairway access to some rooms.

Really lovely location to be able to get around and explore Venice. I suppose the rooms are a little dated but not that bad! Was a pretty little room with the old Venice style! Reception staff were always pleasant and helpful to us and have no complaints at all. Breakfast was fine fruits, pastries and really good coffee. I do... More

Iv always wanted to come to Venice since watching the talented Mr Ripley. I wasn't disappointed the views are amazing. We stayed at the Rialto just outside the Rialto bridge so it was very busy and slot of steps to climb. It didn't put us off as we liked walking anyway. You need to be aware of the amount of... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
