We stayed at the hotel for our honeymoon. We had booked direct following a lot of research on the Internet. Staff liaised with us via email, on arrival to the hotel we were more than happy. We had a beautiful room in the annex part of the hotel (around the corner & down the back alley), it was lovely and... More

We had booked a superior room with Grand Canal view for 4 nights at the Rialto. When we arrived, we were shown to what they called a Junior Suite. The room featured a king sized bed, two armchairs, a desk, and several other elegant pieces of furniture. A small window gave us an excellent 24-hour view of the canal and... More

I stayed in a Junior suite overlooking the Rialto bridge. The suite wasn't actually a suite, it was a European standard room, with two small windows on the top floor, with a double bed, a desk and an arm chair. Only the chandelier made the difference. The elevator took us up to a lower floor and then we had to... More

I booked the suite with balcony at the Rialto. Amazing place with excellent service. Free breakfast and wifi. Highly recommend. Great location and super easy to get anywhere in the city. The room was beautiful and had all the amenities you could ask for.

July 2016 My husband and I spent two nights here before a cruise on 2nd & 3rd July. The location is FABULOUS, and is the biggest selling point for this hotel. It is very old and quirky and that needs bearing in mind. There is a small lift, but beware it DOES NOT go to all floors & rooms. There... More

Lovely view from our window directly looking at Rialto Bridge & over the Grand Canal. Air con worked really well & room was beautifully designed in antique Venetian furniture & wallpaper. Lovely staff member on check in who also happily organised our water taxi for departure. All staff extremely professional. Shower was really nice & the hotel itself is lovely... More

Hotel Rialto is in a fantastic location right at the Rialto water taxi stop. Very easy to get to. Staff were very helpful at reception. Out room was very spacious for a Venice hotel, with 2 windows overlooking the Grande Canal. Breakfast downstairs was lovely, a little cramped for room but comfortable. I have to eat gluten-free foods and was... More

Have just returned from a great weekend in venice where we stayed at the Hotel Rialto which sits right at the end of the Rialto Bridge. Our room was in the annex rather than the main hotel and this was accessed through a wee lane at the side of the hotel. Dont be put off by this entrance as you... More

It's right next to the canal so that's a bonus. Rooms are big and have an old European feel. The staff is friendly and you can find lots of restaurants just outside the hotel. The location is perfect , especially in the evenings. Definitely recommended for couples.

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
