It's hard to find a reasonable hotel in Venice that offers quality, good service, good breakfast. This hotel was recommended by Marianna, from Odyssey Travel agency in Rome. We loved it! Within walking distance to Piazza San Marco just a few steps from San Zaccaria...More
Stayed here on recommendation . Location is very central. Nice walk from St Marco Square and easy to find at end of alley from Waterfront. Caught a water taxi from rail station and the hotel has a side entrance which made luggage handling easy with...More
Even though the air conditioner struggled, this hotel is wonderful. Very good location. Nice breakfast that is included. Nice loft room. Very nice rooms. And the front desk staff - excellent! Great group of guys - very friendly, very helpful, great conversations, great group of...More
Thoroughly enjoyed my time at this Hotel. Our room was large with room to get around the bed and so forth, whilst the bathroom is nothing fantastic to look at - it's functional and does the job well. Good water pressure from the shower.
Stayed for three nights. Hotel staff very friendly, hotel spotless clean. Entrance to hotel and bar was nice to sit in. Ideal location, very central. Five minutes from St. Marco square. Only 15-20 mins in the water bus from the train station, costing only £12pp....More

Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a
strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.

I'm fairly certain the parking is close to the water bus terminal but you might need to drop people with luggage off at the ferry terminal and then go back to park the car. From the ferry terminal, there is a short walk from the parking/bus drop point to ferry itself. Straight, flat but a few kerbs. Once on the ferry and getting off at the Bizanzio stop, you are meters away from the hotel. Again very flat and no kerbs. Make sure you don't miss the alley way though as it is easy to walk past. It is literally almost opposite the water bus terminus. But like the others say, I'd double check with the hotel. They're v good and do speak English.
