We just had the BEST stay at the Baglioni Luna in Venice! We went with our two kids (ages 15 and 13). First the property -- perfectly situated next to Plaza San Marco, next to the Biennele and everything else, but half a block down a smaller alley. The rooms were immaculate, appeared to be recently renovated, and gorgeous views. We were on the 5th floor -- a nice corner room for the kids and a junior suite with a canal view (beautiful, even from the bathroom) for us! Great AC and comfortable beds. Most importantly -- the staff -- nothing was too much. Laura checked us in and got us in early -- she was lovely. Vincenze made us welcome drinks and took so much care. Michele was incredible with helping us. Dominic (I believe?) and the other tall woman at the desk were also amazing. Dominic figured out our flight situation the night before. On the way out, they got my son more of the Venice cookies (Burane cookies) that he loved. This place is truly amazing! We have traveled the world, stayed at 5 star hotels everywhere, but the hospitality here is unmatched, especially for a city hotel. Love this place and could not recommend more highly.

My family and I travelled to Venice for a short escape from reality and it truly was a dream, from arriving at the hotel with the taxi boat, over the exceptional service and to the beauty of Venice itself.

The hotel was gorgeous, brilliant location right next to the high-end stores like Chanel and Louis Vuitton and around the corner of the legendary Harry’s Bar. Hotel Baglioni Luna definitely adds to the atmosphere of elegance and luxury, while seeming to remain humble and quiet at the end of the street right at the river.
The rooms were exceptionally clean and taken care of, the chandeliers coming directly from Morano to surround the guests with Italian flair, and we even had small hand sanitizers in our room, a very much appreciated treat during corona times.

Wherever in the hotel, the staff is very friendly and attentive. Especially at the front office Mrs. Laura Moretti was such a pleasure talking to and very helpful, assisting us to plan our visit and recommending places to go. Every hotel can only wish to have such a lovely, caring and bright receptionist like her.

The breakfast satisfies any and every taste, from meat lover to vegetarian and vegan, from savory to delicious small pastries, preparing you for the day ahead.

We very much recommend this hotel for a wonderful holiday!

We spent four nights in the Baglioni Hotel Luna, close to Piazza San Marco which is so easy to take Vaporetti and Alilaguna direct to the Airport.
Served on the 1rst floor, in the tremendously appealing Marco Polo Ball-room, Breakfast is a treat every morning. The Buffet offers a wide choice of fresh and cooked vegetables, high quality salmon, delicatessen as well as a good selection of cheeses. There are all kinds of fruit and nuts, pastries, crusty and tasty bread.
We were given an elegant room enhanced with splendid Fortuny lampshades. It is cozy with quality large bedding. The ample bathroom is magnificent with Carrara marble walls and floor as well as an imposing mirror.
The staff is most helpful and accommodating.
We did enjoy our stay. Everything was impeccable.

Arrived by water taxi which was €65 - he expensive but! Great experience having never been to Venice before. Amazing buildings.

Greeted by friendly staff and beautiful décor. We managed to mess up our flights meaning we had to leave a day early but had already paid for the hotel. They couldn’t refund us however, said we could use the money to spend at the hotel which was really handy considering how expensive it is in Venice.

Had the most fabulous time. Everyone was dressed up in Carnival outfits, felt like we had to join in! Hotel was in great location, close to everything including Doge’s Palace & St Mark’s square.

Water bus to Burano (fisherman village with beautifully painted buildings) = €30 for two people return. Was a bit of a long trip but worth it for the photos, very pretty.

Only wish we had more time here! Can’t wait to return ❤️

This conveniently located hotel is our top choice. We have stayed here quite a few times in the past and had great experiences. This time it was a smooth experience as usual.

We initially booked a junior lagoon view suite which was upgraded to the amazing Suite Canaletto that we also stayed at last time. It has an amazing view of the Venetian lagoon with San Giorgio and also the San Marco bell tower. The suite is on two levels with a full living space, huge bathroom with a full size tub and a separate shower with dual vanity and a master bedroom. Baglioni Hotel really knows how to spoil us:D

The breakfast is served in a great hall with amazing ceiling frescos and very attentive staff. The selection of food seems to have been reduced a little bit since our last visit in mid 2019, but it was still enough for us to jump start our days.

The highlight of our stay is the exchanges we had with the concierge Enrico who made excellent suggestions for dining and is just simply fun to chat with. Silvia was also incredibly helpful and made our stay so amazing.

We will be planning our return trip in the near future.

The best thing about this place is the boat ride in and out. The hotel is tired. All the furniture is roped off so you can’t even sit down - literally! The lift wasn’t working while we were there and it only takes 2-3 people at a time ....nightmare.

FREEZING cold and no blankets on the bed just sheets and a foot runner and no extra bedding in cupboards. TV wasn’t working in one of our rooms. The staff are stuffy and behave as though they’re doing you a favour just speaking with you.

The breakfast is hands down the worst I’ve had in any hotel - EVER. It’s in a cold windowless room with waiters standing at the entrance like security guards. No music. No atmosphere. Just awful.

I had asked Co coerce to store my bag whilst we ate and I made a point of stating it had valuables inside. He said for me to leave it at the end of the reception and he would take care of it. I retuned from breakfast to find it sitting out at the entrance of the hotel for anyone to take!!!! Furious I told them this was simply not good enough and they were mildly apologetic. I really loathe this hotel. There is nothing redeeming about it. Do yourself a favour and go ANYWHERE else.

Dear Guest, We are really very sorry to read your review and wish to apologize for not having fulfilled your expectation. We have always taken care of customer comments to improve ourselves in our daily work in pursuing excellence, therefore we are all so sorry to have missed with you that attention that distinguishes us with many many Guests. Throughout the internal spaces we have distributed highly valuable antiquities, including sofas. These are very delicate and precious historical pieces, for this reason we have a drawstring to keep guests from sitting. In your suites the average temperature is 22/24 degrees therefore very pleasant and in any case adjustable by a thermostat in any environment. Just as each bedroom has extra blankets in the closet for anyone who feels the need to use them. We do serve breakfast in the Marco Polo Ball room, a jump back in the second half 18th century. Frescoed ceiling from the Tiepolo’s pupils, original stucco on the walls, Murano chandeliers and two oil on canvas of Ermolao Paoletti... it self an experience. Our buffet boasts more than 110 different products of the territory and an a la carte selection of dishes to satisfy every requests. On your departing day, as your taxi arrived, the porter simply moved your bag to the entrance door so to board it. All the team knew it was your bags. Moreover we do interact with our Guests many times during their stay. In these moments none of your disappointment arose. Wish to highlight also that our Concierge took care to recover your belongings forgotten in the taxi on arrival. For this gesture your gratitude was ascertained so as " all ok " for the stay. This of course let us a bit concerned. As always we remain at your full disposal would you like to give us more detailed information in order to better understand the causes of your dissatisfaction. The entire staff at the Baglioni Hotel Luna are wonderful. From the moment that I booked the room I was in contact with Alessandro, the head concierge, regarding transportation and experiences, tours, sights and daily directions. Check in was smooth and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived via boat. The rooms are fabulous, beautifully appointed, quiet (even on the first floor and close to the street and St. Mark’s square), the beds are comfortable and the extra pillows are a plus. The love a hotel that has bath robes- thank you! The bathroom is beautiful with a large marble bath that easily fits two and a large walk in shower. Did I mention the multiple towel warmers? Such a plus! The breakfast spread is over the top. I had no idea they would offer literally everything. Eggs- any way you want them..fried, scrambled, boiled, omelette. Croissants, sausage, bacon, bread, cereal, fruit, yogurt. That’s just to name a few. Thank for, Sara, for the morning cappuccinos and being so friendly. The entire front desk staff is warm and friendly. Housekeeping kept our room neat and tidy and refreshed our water bottles and Nespresso daily. Life saver! This hotel is near everything and in the heart of Venice. We can’t wait to come back and stay again. A true Relais & Chateaux hotel.

Perfect location on the grand canal with its own private dock so you can take in a water taxi from the airport directly. Would not bother asking the hotel to arrange transport since getting a water taxi from the Venice airport is very easy and simple to do after a short walk from the terminal. Located behind San Marco plaza, remarkably quiet despite being next to the main high and shopping area. Convenient to anywhere and directly behind a main ferry dock making travel convenient for those who have difficulty with the walks up and down the canal bridges.

The Murano light fixtures and glass displays throughout the hotel are gorgeous. They do promote their private tour which we did not take. Only remark is that the decor is dated. Traditional might be the word that some people use, I think it’s just old. Could use a touchup especially the main dining area which is where breakfast is served. Service is terrific, true cléfs d’or, and the restaurant at the hotel is also surprisingly good. Rooms are large and well appointed (but “traditional”), Beds are on the firmer side which I always prefer. And the canal views are breathtaking from the terraces of the canal-facing rooms. Terrific stay.

Baglione Hotel Luna was our favorite hotel in Italy. It has the most perfect location just steps from St. Mark’s Square but located at the end of a quiet corner with its own gondola and water taxi stop. You must arrive by water taxi as it is an experience you will never forget. The hotel is grand and elegant in true Venetian splendor with gorgeous antiques and Murano chandeliers. It is the oldest hotel in Venice and the breakfast room has beautiful
original frescoes. You feel like you are eating in a palace. We were upgraded to a canal view junior suite with breathtaking views of the Grand Canal and the Campanile. Even our beautiful bathroom had a window. The best part is the huge windows can be opened and you can listen to the bells and the canal. It truly was difficult to leave this suite! We were also welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco and cookies. It is the staff that make this hotel a true star. Carlo snd Antonio looked after my daughter and me and made us feel like guests in a home. We looked forward to seeing them everyday and talking to them. They were so gracious, kind and fun! Our hearts are still at this hotel and in magical La Serenissima. We can’t wait to return. This is the absolute best place to stay in Venice!

Our 3-night short break in Venice was magical from the moment our water taxi brought us to the door of the Baglioni Hotel Luna.

The location just 20 seconds walk from St Mark's Square is hard to beat but undisturbed by crowds.

The hotel itself is classic in design, refined in character & very comfortable, with attentive, friendly & helpful staff.

They helped us plan our itinerary to suit the changing weather conditions, organised a personal tour guide at 25 minutes notice, recommended (and booked) some excellent restaurants & made us welcome at all times. Highly recommended!
