In the sestiere of Santa Croce, the other Venice among secret gardens and animated courtyards, cherished in the oblivion of the most unique city in the world.Hotel Papadopoli stands on the Tolentini Canal, inside the Papadopoli Gardens, created in 1834 by Francesco Bagnara. It’s a truly enviable location: close to the Canal Grande and the Constitution bridge, an artwork by the famous architect Calatrava, that connects the hotel

The hotel is located within walking distance to the station Venezia Santa Lucia. I stayed there for one night. Everybody in this hotel was courteous and very friendly during my stay. Upon check in they gave me a room upgrade into a room on the fifth floor with a very nice terrace, were you can have some nice views of the city. The bathroom had a good size and the room was clean so far. Breakfast was served in their restaurant and I decided to take a seat outside. I guess because of Covid the waiters just served everything they offered at the table. And there was plenty of food to eat. In my opinion they should at least ask, what a guest wants to have for breakfast, as for example I don’t eat meat or fish. I didn’t want to get served sausage, what they obviously did… All in all I was very satisfied with the stay and I definitely would choose this hotel again!

Hotel's Favorite
We celebrated my 50th birthday in Venice and our stay at Hotel Papadopoli was superb! From the minute we got there, the guy on reception was so helpful and friendly and upgraded our room. On our first evening we returned to our room to find prosecco and strawberries waiting for us. Thank you so much! The buffet breakfast was great, catered for all nationalities and there was so much selection, we were spoilt for choice. Each night our bed was turned down with chocolates on our pillow, which was a lovely touch. The rooms were nice and clean and so was the bathroom. I really can't fault the hotel, the staff were brilliant and the location was spot on! Thank you for making my 50th birthday so special !

We were back June 2-12, 2021 after our Sept. 2020 visit and we were just as pleased (room 229). Location ideal: 5 mn. from piazzale Roma so easy walking distance (even with a large suitcase) from the airport bus and to the vaporetto terminal which takes you everywhere. Very quiet neighbourhood but plenty of baccaros and restaurants 2 mn. away. Staff discreet but very pleasant. Perfect housekeeping--acqua di Parma toiletries liberally renewed--plenty of towels--sheets changed every day. Rooms very slightly overdecorated in the Venetian style but welcoming and very comfortable (some of them are a bit small). Beds perfect. A/C very silent. Nespresso coffee machine and plentiful supply of coffee (inc. decaf). Two cupboards, plenty of hangers. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the terrace in front heavenly with a direct view of the Papadopoli garden and the tall trees. Breakfast is a Venetian feast and a delight particularly on week days when they bring you plates and plates of delicious food (the week ends are not so pleasant when you have to queue to get served at the buffet (Covid rules). The breakfast waitresses are very pleasant and the lady head very well trained and efficient. The gentlemen who serve dinner are equally pleasant and efficient. The dinner menu is fairly limited (Covid) but the food is good (we had dinner 3 times). The place is absolutely gorgeous at night with the trees, the flowers, the beautiful table lamps, the peace, and quiet (no ghastly musak thankfully). They check your temp. every time you walk in and the distancing rules are strictly obeyed. Masks to be worn at all times. All in all it was a perfect stay and we'll try VERY hard to find available time in our busy schedule. THANK YOU!!!!!!

The location is a bit away from the main attraction like Piaza San Marco. But with the vaporeti it will take you 20mins. The hotel in general is beautiful and well kept. Beds are comfy but the pillow needs some replacement as they went flat. Just not a fan of the velvety sofa bed for our son as it was a dust collector. The restaurant is gorgeous. The breakfast was perfect. Overall the staff were all friendly and kind.

The Hotel Papadopoli is my home from home in Venice. This was my fifth stay, and in many ways the best. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was scrupulously clean, the breakfasts were great, and the evening meal was excellent. With the small number of visitors, we were able to visit the attractions of Venice with no waiting.
