Fabulous hotel and location but it was let down by the waiting and bar staff. We often had to wait a long time to be served and breakfast was a bit of a joke with lots of staff but no one to organise them properly. We did have a very nice waiter at the beginning of our stay but he then had 2 days off. The clean linen every day was not really necessary but a treat. I did ask for some shower gel but never got any strangely.

We stayed here for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay Our room was small but spotlessly clean and had every amenity we needed. It was beautifully decorated in Venetian style The bed was v comfortable and the room was v well serviced each day. The staff were always happy to help with any query. The location was perfect, right on the waterfront and only 5 mins walk from San Marcos square so central for pretty much everything The restaurant is on the terrace, lovely for breakfast or a drink in the evening. However the restaurant and bar is expensive with a gin and tonic priced at e20 and an equally expensive dinner menu. The views from the terrace though are just gorgeous! We loved this hotel and would definitely stay there when we return to Venice again!

We have booked this hotel at least two months before the day we were supposed to check-in. No more than a few days before the hotel inform us that those bookings were canceled, but couldn't explain why, but, when we booked for 113,00 per night, they said that they could book us those rooms again for 250,00 per night..... We couldn't believe such lack of honesty...... NEVER EVER I SHOYLD STAY THERE.... EVEN FOR FREE....... I must advise everyone that this could happen to you!!!!

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel. Location is really great, 5 min from St. Marco, Right at the water Station. The view form the terrace over the grand canal is amazing.. but the service in the bar and also in the resto doesn’t fit to the level of the hotel. Long waiting, dirty tableware, very chaotic. Food in the resto is also more of simple then fine food.. unfortunately..

The Monaco and Grand Canal is a delight - as lovely, luxurious and well-serviced as the more famous grand hotels and in some ways better. The location is ideal, my suite was heaven, the waterside restaurant is a gem - and the concierges are the best in the world.
