Wanted to give our boys a special Easter meal as we were far away from our family that day. It was recommended by a friend who had stayed at Cipriani to try Cip's Restaurant. Very happy we did. The hotel's staff was most gracious upon our arrival. Led us out to their beautiful gardens as we waited for our reservations....

Impossible to fault. From the stunning approach to the private jetty, the way we were met and wafted into the hotel, the kindness and approachability of the staff, the effortless upgrade to a lagoon view suite, the room itself, the view, the food... We've stayed at nice hotels, and some very expensive ones but nothing has come close to the...

The one... the only... the Cipriani! Located a (private 24h) boat launch across St. Marks Square, the Cipriani is an absolute mythical place and a safe haven amongst one big tourist Disney land that Venice transforms into during the summer months. Because of this it is the Best location in the city, close enough to the action but far enough...

Every time we arrive we feel so relaxed and welcomed. This is not a hotel it is an extension of an Italian family. This time we had a garden villa which led straight onto the pool area. Fabulous! The degustation menu in Oro was outstanding, if not a little long but a lovely walk in the gardens worked wonders. If...

After multiple visits to Venice at multiple hotels I am still drawn to th Cipriani. There are a handful of resort hotels in cities and this is at the top of the list. Great staff and food. (Room service was a little disappointing) Delicious breakfast. Good enough fitness center. It's a good idea to book Spa appointments before you arrive...

Staying in Giudecca

Neighborhood Profile
Giudecca
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
If Venice is a theatre, Belmond Hotel Cipriani is the Royal Box. It is a resort: a way of life, an island apart, in every sense. And it involves all the senses that make a stay unforgettable. Five minutes by private launch from St. Mark’s Square, on the tip of the Giudecca Island, Belmond Hotel Cipriani is in the heart of the city but removed from its hustle and bustle. Its 95 rooms and suites are exquisitely decorated with magnificent views over the open lagoon, the gardens and St. Marks. A day here is made up of layers of wonderful experiences, from luxuriating beside the Olympic-size swimming pool (the only one in central Venice) to relaxing with a signature treatment at the Casanova Wellness Centre. The Casanova gardens offer an oasis of peace, perfect for a Thai Chi session before heading off with a private boat for a personalised excursion in the lagoon. Choose to dine at the new Oro Restaurant for a timeless dining experience or at the iconic Cip’s Club admiring the view on St. Mark’s. Sip a signature cocktail at the Gabbiano Bar or enjoy a light lunch at the Porticciolo Restaurant. A red-clay tennis court, a gym and dedicated Kids' Club with pool are also available. ... more   less
