Very nice room for a family of 3. Great service. Lovely position on canal from where you will experience all sorts of canal traffic and singing from gondolas. Breakfast served on trolley in the room but somewhat limited. Hotel position very good to explore Venice. Highly recommended. Will return.

The location is so central, the canal seconds from the entrance so you can hear the gondolas as they go past. A few minutes walk to St Marks Square, Rialto and Academia bridges. Very welcoming and informative host. Rooms are dated and the breakfast basic but for the price and location, can't complain.

The room we stayed in was really an apartment nothing fancy but nor was the price. Our kids room was basic but with aircon and our parents room huge with 4.8 metre vaulted ceilings. Remarkable. Yes it's all old style and their should be a duvet cover rather than just a sheet and an uncovered duvet but I think for... More

The location is very good, however, it is a little difficult to find. I got lucky and only had to walk up 1 flight of stairs. My sister was not so lucky, she had to get the room in the 4th floor, and it was tough for her just to walk up and down the stairs. She stored her luggage... More

We had a great stay at the Palazzo Minelli for 5 nights. We had the room on the top floor there is a lot of steps around 70-80 with no lift but it wasn't a problem for us. The room was very spacious with a comfy bed and roof beams. There was also a separate dining/kitchen area. A member of... More

My partner and I stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed it. we did not have canal view but our room was very spacious and the breakfast was great and plentiful! We had our own bathroom just outside our room which was no problem. The 3 flights of stairs were a killer, but we only had to do it once a day!... More

If you're looking for a generic ,modern , standardised hotel then this pallazzo is not for you .This place screams old venice charm and we loved our unique stay here.Rooms are very spacious and airy we had two triple canal views between 2 adults and three teens 15-19 and we all loved the unique ambiance of this B&B .Beds were... The hotel was in a great location and the room was nice and big. The place is not suitable for anyone who has any problem with steep and high stairs though as there is no lift. It was a pain to get the luggage up. The furniture and room was dated but also authentic and we liked it. Having breakfast... More

we stayed here for 2 nights and it was magical. The rooms are a little dark and basic but the veiw from our window was amazing as we watched the gondolas float by. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was brought to our room every morning.

We decided to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary in Venice. We could have hardly chosen a better place to stay than at this wonderful historic palace, in a spacious room on the first floor, looking at the crossroads of four of the main waterways of the San Marco neighborhood: Rio San Luca to the north, dei Barcaroli to the south,... Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
