From my first contact with the hotel, when I made my booking, the level of service has been exceptional. The staff were happy to answer any questions I had and did everything possible to make our stay a city break to remember. Our room was delightful and the staff recommendations for places to eat and things to do were always extremely good. We could not fault anything with the hotel and their excellent staff.
We had a romantic stay in this hotel. The crew was very friendly and competent. The breakfast was also very good and in time of COVID-19 perfect organized! The view to Canale Grande with the different boats in traffic was very impressive.
Outstanding hotel, staff are so friendly and very helpful, location is great. Good is excellent, very well priced. Very comfortable and will definitely return. Ideally located near water buses and 20 mins from ast Marks.
Our family group of nine people stayed here for three nights, and we all absolutely loved it! The staff could not have done more to make our stay fabulous. The rooms were beautiful, the included breakfasts amazing for both variety and deliciousness. The location was perfect in a quiet part of town. This is a small hotel, and we could sit downstairs in the evening for drinks and feel that we had the place to ourselves. We were so spoiled and cannot wait to return!
A truly wonderful hotel in the perfect location, really helpful staff, lovely breakfast, amazing views, close to everything you need, can't fault this place, we will be returning! One tip...its worth getting a water taxi to the hotel front door...it was a really special way to start our holiday.
A great place to stay, wonderful staff, great service, comforable rooms, breakfast outstanding. Impossible to select the "best" but one experiance not to miss is aperitif's on the patio watching the traffic on the Grand Canal go by.
We stayed at the Hotel Canal Grande for seven nights on our first trip to Venice. We couldn’t have chosen a better hotel. The staff were generous and inviting, the room was impeccably clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was ample and delicious. We will definitely return as they went out of their way to make our trip so very special. Thank you to Anka, Chiara, and the rest of the staff for your most excellent service!
My family and I (two adults, two teens) have just returned from a three night stay at the Hotel Canal Grande in Venice for my other half's 50th birthday. The hotel was really well located on the Grand Canal, close to the train, bus and vaporetto stations but away from the main tourist area. This meant that we could walk everywhere easily and access the bus to the airport, but were not plagued by noisy bars or restaurants at night. The views from the pontoon and the terrace to the front and side of the hotel were stunning. The hotel is well-furnished in a traditional Venetian style, and though our Prestige Junior Suite (family accommodation) was on the small side, it was well-equipped with two bathrooms and two televisions. There was an issue with the shower but it was fixed immediately and we were offered a room move, which we declined. The kids said their camp beds were very comfortable, and our main bed was a very comfortable super-king, complete with canopy. Breakfast was comprised of a buffet with hot and cold options - the scrambled eggs were perfect, the baked good were delicious, and the selection of fresh fruit, meats and cheeses was varied and fresh enough to keep a fusspot like me happy. There were a variety of coffees (and teas) on offer, all of which were delicious, and I'll say a special thanks to waitress, Katerina, who was polite, unflappable and helpful at all times. The staff was the highlight of this stay. From the receptionists to the cleaner, they were all so friendly and accommodating. A cake was left in our room for my other half's birthday, and we were welcomed to hang out at the hotel after check-out and make use of the facilities on the last day as we had a late flight home. Covid measures were good, though the British family that couldn't be bothered to observe the mask-wearing rules as they walked around the breakfast buffet can get in the bin. Can't fault Hotel Canal Grande at all! Thanks for a lovely stay.…
A fine little hotel, neatly placed near the Ferrovia bridge and main railway station. The staff are charming and more than happy to help you out with any plans. Easy access to the Vaporetto stops gives you a neat way of getting about.
Enjoyed our stay in the quaint little hotel - made all the more special by the excellent, attentive and helpful staff. We upgraded our room to a junior suite (with the emphasis on junior - it was a bit small) with a view of an alley on one side and a small square on the other - not sure we’d bother paying the extra next time. But the room was beautifully decorated in a typically Venetian style and very comfortable, too. In fact the whole hotel is nicely appointed and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet - more food and choice than we could’ve wished for. Then there’s the staff - dedicated to make sure you have a great stay. And we did. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Hotel Canal Grande.
