Canal Grande is a charming boutique hotel located in Ca' Polacco, an elegant little palace which has just been restored. The furniture of the hotel is characterised by the elegance of Rococo style, typical of 18th century Venice. The lobby with its rose marble fireplace, the breakfast room with its golden mirrors, and the bar with its Venetian red velvet armchairs overlook the Grand Canal and are the best places where to begin and end a day! The small terrace on the Grand Canal gives our Guests the possibility to have a drink in a special setting and to "breathe the air of the canal"!!

We didnt even realize our room was overlookcing the street, because it was very quiet! In the moorning we managed to catch the breakfast table at the terase/dock and it was gorgeous to look at all the traffic at canal grande in the morning! We thought that we were maybe a little too far from Rialto/San Marco. Walking towards these monuments we realized a little longer walk is better then noisy streets. On our return to the hotel to pick up our stuff, we even chilled a litlle while at the dock, just to enjoy the peace and a bit of quiet after a noisy day.

The service was exemplary, the room was beautiful. I can see why the hotel has received an award for service. It was my wife’s birthday the hotel noticed from her passport and baked a cake which was presented at breakfast. Very relaxed surroundings easy walking distance from all the key sights of Venice.

This is a well appointed historic hotel with beautiful rooms. The service was superb. The breakfast offered great choices, i do love cake! The cost of a drink at the bar is high so i would look around if you want to have an evening tipple. The hotel is very accessible by water taxi or train.

This hotel is in a perfect location. Close enough to make traveling with suitcases easy, on the canal so beautiful views, and in walking distance to everything you need. Staff amazing. Rooms impeccable. Food fantastic. I have no negatives at all.

We stayed at Hotel Canal Grande for 4 nights during our honeymoon. This hotel is superbly maintained and well located in the middle of Venice. It is a very short and easy 5min walk from the train station (literally two bridges with steps), particularly with large luggage. We saw lots of people Battling the narrow streets, the many bridges with lots of luggage and we were very glad we chose this hotel for its convenience. The hotel staff are the friendliest and most helpful staff we’ve ever met whilst staying in a hotel. They are very accommodating and helpful in getting around to some of the key spots in Venice. They also offer a complimentary water taxi to Murano and Burano islands for a day trip. The breakfast included set you up for the day and was very delicious. The staff in the dining made sure we had enough food and coffee to last us the whole day. Everything was in easy walking distance and and there are endless places to visit just around the corner. It is out of the hustle and bustle of the main attractions, but being right on the canal makes it feel extra special and that you’re truly in Venice. The hotel itself is styled in a typical Venetian decor and has a great spot on the canal to enjoy breakfast or aperitif. The room we stayed in was big enough for two of us with large luggage and very comfortable to sleep in and enjoy. Will definitely recommend this place to stay for a few days whilst in Venice. We will visit here again if we come back to Venice in the future! Grazie Mille!
