This hotel is wonderful! My mother and I checked in early after arriving from the airport. There was a mixup with our reservation. The staff handled it incredibly well and luckily everything was sorted out. They told us it was too early to have access to the room and that we should come back in a few hours. We were... More

This is a good hotel in great condition and not bad for the price we paid. The location is good, just steps away from a vaporetto stop (San Stae) so it's not too difficult to get around. You can walk from there to the main tourist sites in about 20 mins tops, and it's a nice walk. It's also facing... More

This hotel was so-so. When pressed, the staff could be friendly, but they did not go out of their way. The air conditioning did not work great either. The rooms are small and don't all have a view. The lobby bar was hardly ever open. Breakfast was included however the selection was limited.

Our first stop in Italy. Nice hotel. Breakfast was included in our stay, but pretty basic offerings. Rooms were nice. Complimentary wifi was a plus! Front desk was always helpful with booking water taxis.

Rooms are comfy and clean with modern decor. Big bathroom and we got a view of the church and water-bus stop. The breakfast buffet was all right with a decent spread of pastries. Some of the rooms on the 2nd floor are not accessible by elevator so you may have to lug your luggage up a short flight of steps... More

We arrived at the train station and we quickly caught a waterbus to the hotel. The directions are not very clear, so make sure to ask someone what stop you need to get off at. Once we were dropped off, we quickly discovered that the waterbus stop was right beside the hotel. Super convenient. We were greeted and quickly checked... More

Booked this hotel after a friend recommended it. Stayed for 2 nights with my mum for a short city break. Lovely hotel, nice rooms, good location ...not too busy and easy enough walk to all the sights. DIFFICULT to find from the waterbus stop. The hotel need clearer signs so tourists know where to go. Also no information on which... More

Very central location. We had one room on the ground floor and 2 rooms on the First floor. Bathroom is large and spacious. Bedroom is decent. Wifi is good in certain areas of the rooms. In the lobby it's fine. The buffet spread variety was below average with overly attentive staff eager to clear plates and help serve you. The... More

I was so looking forward to my first visit to Venice, but when I checked into my room, it was hot, small and cramped. After a sweaty and crowded day around the shops of Venice, coming back to the hotel revealed only the beds were made - hot and humid room and water glasses were not refreshed. Try someplace else... Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
