Located in the heart of Venice just a 3 minute walk from the Rialto bridge and the water bus, the Hotel San Luca is a very good choice for your next holiday. We found getting about Venice quite easy as the location is superb. Only a short walk from the San Marco square and surrounded with shops and restaurants. The...

Absolutely satisfied with hotel. We traveled by group of 3 girls and no one is good in reading map. We heard that travelers are easy to get lost in Venice. With our plan, we came in Venice in a late winter afternoon which could be cold and more easy to get lost. Therefore, I have canceled my first booking which...

Stayed in the apartment overlooking the canal. Great location and only a few minutes away from the main hotel building. Clean and nicely furnished with comfy beds. The bathroom is large and has a good shower. We stayed with friends so it would have been useful to have a set of keys per room as it is annoying having to...

It's a simple 3 stars hotel, however with excellent location and very clear. Common area is really basic with small restaurant for breakfast and bar. This is completely irrelevant compared with the location. The rooms are pretty clear and spacious. It's definitely a good option for who is planning to stay the whole day exploring the city and just need...

We stayed in the apartment at this hotel. It is located just around the corner from the main hotel. The best part about the room is that you look down on to the canal and can see the gondolas going past. The worst part - we took three divices (phone, iPads etc) with us for the day and left three...

We stayed at San Luca Hotel for one night but it was extremely comfortable. The hotel is perfectly located, very close to San Marco Square. All the rooms are non-smoking. Our room was renovated and very nicely decorated. The bathroom is spacious, very clean and renovated as well. The continental breakfast was excellent. One of the best things about this...

Convienent to the Rialto bridge & water taxis / public transportation. Also 5 minute walk to St Marks Square. Good restaurants in the area. Loved the canal view in the Annex! Helpful staff. Good breakfast & excellent cappuccinos.

Very good location, easy to get to all main places of interest. Our room was lovely, beautifully decorated. The breakfast area was quite small but perfectly adequate choice of breakfast food and drinks. Staff were really friendly and helpful. I would say here again.

Booked this for the second week of January, and we got bumped to a Superior room. The room is small yes, but functional and very cutely decorated. The ceiling has Murano glass chandeliers, and the mirror is also Murano glass. They have a seat Bidet in the toilet. The shower is a stand shower, and there was no bathtub. The...

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
