It took us a little while to find the hotel itself after catching a waterbus to St. Marks Square, once you've found it you're fine. Unfortunately Venice isn't very well sign posted but the people are very friendly and helped us along the way. When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionists couldn't have been more welcoming. We had booked... More

Perfect location, great room, nice breakfast! Really close to San Marco's square and "Rialto" vaporetto stop. Tottally recommend for the location and service quality. It was a perfect choice for our 2 nights in Venezia.

I stayed here for 1 night with my nieces and a friend . We took the apartment suite. It was very spacious and clean. It has also a kitchen included in the apartment with complete utensils. The location is perfect to San Marco and near to good restaurants and bars. I vote all the staffs for 5 star for they... More

This hotel is in the heart of Veneza, near to Piazza San Marco and everything else you need to see in this part of city. Good breakfast, good rooms, very clean and good services are provided there. I recommend this hotel if you want a good place for a good price.

A stone's throw away from St Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge. Lovely apartment with stunning canal view. Friendly and helpful staff, couldn't do enough for us! Small kitchenette ideal for making sandwich lunches and excellent choice of restaurants everywhere. We had a great beach day at the Lido and the rest of the time wandering around the picturesque streets of... More

We were not staying in the building where the reception was but down the road (2 mins) in another building owned by the hotel. The location was excellent as its a 5 min walk to San Marco Square and 3 mins to water taxis. The room itself was small but clean. We were told we could have breakfast downstairs in... More

This hotel is in a great location. It is right between the Rialto Bridge and St.Marks Square. If you are taking a water taxi have them drop you off at Rialto Bridge and it's a straight shot to the hotel. No cars here so pack lightly since it will take about 8 minutes to walk to the hotel. We actually... More

The place could have been clean and nice if the bathroom and air conditioner were working fine. One, the A/C did not work well in which we ended up using electric fans that were purposedly provided in each room. Looks like they have no plan of fixing this issue at all because why would they provide electric fans at all?... More

Not so nice place but affordable. Some strange noise started at the middle of the night between our room and the next one. Not so attenative staff, the areason has nice walking places to visit so, maybe if you are in abudiet this is the ideal place.

Great host who provided us with valuable advice on local typical restaurants! The dreamlike atmosphere becomes lovely when the adjacent san salvador channel is crossed by gondolas on which tenors sing romantic songs... The only flaw is the space for breakfast, but that are already working to improve it! It's not cheap, but it's in Venice! The location is strategic:... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
