A shout out to Rick Steves for recommending this boutique hotel - don't leave home without him.
Close to the Grand Canal - 4 minute walk from the water bus stop; and a very short walk to St. Mark's Square. This little gem (8 rooms...More
We stayed here for 3 nights as our first stop on a 3.5 week Italian vacation. It is a small hotel that has a spectacular central location. It is near everything but very quiet. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable which is all we...More
We loved our stay! The location was excellent, though very near the heart of the action, very quiet. We'd stay again and recommend it to friends. Room was a bit small but not tiny. Big, comfortable bed. All in all a wonderful getaway.
Great Location. Lovely hotel. Only a two minute walk from Piazza San Marco. This hotel is on a quiet narrow street. There are plenty of shopping stores and restaurants within a short walking distance of the hotel. The en-suite rooms are large and nicely decorated...More
Four of us stayed here June 6-9, 2011 and it could not have been more perfect. The suite room was perfect for two moms and two daughters. Daniel and the rest of the staff were helpful and always around if we had a question and...More
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
