Balcony overlooking the water you can listen to the singing of the Gondaliers. Very intimate setting. Staff was fantastic. Looking forward to returning soon! A little hard to find on foot the first time. The entry "aisle" is only 30 inches side, easy to miss.

Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob
in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.

Hi there! Sorry, but just saw you msge right now! My husband and I had booked a taxi boat to get from the airport to the hotel. This was messy as they were 1) hard to locate and 2) foggy weather so we ended up being taken by a bus followed by a very short boat ride - disappointing. On the way back we silmply took a bus from the bus station which was perfect! As for the tourist attractions, we walked everywhere from our hotel! Nothing was too far away. Everything is close by. Put your trainers on and walk and enjoy crossing the beautfum cananls to go to Place st Marco, Rialto bridge etc (and then enjoy guilt free gnocci with cream and parmesan lol). I found our hotel to be perfecrly located.
Enjoy you trip!

Dear Yuan B,
The Acqua Alta season in Venice usually endures from November until February and occasionally extra high tides can occur, other than the almost certain, but by no means constant flooding in St. Mark’s square (being the lowest point of the city) during these months.
Nevertheless, we would like to point out that, when the water level rises, it comes back to normal after a maximum of 6 hours, like the usual tide. The 29th of October 2018 was an almost historic day in Venice regarding the tide, but after 6 hours, as mentioned previously, the city went back to normality.
We would like to assure you that there are no risks to explore the city and for the coming days there’s no more high water predicted - it’s just Venice, in all its beauty and extravagance.
Always at your disposal.
