I visited this restaurant each time when was in Venice. In due time to me recommended it to the porter of Olimpia hotel. This restaurant never disappointed me. This place is more for Venetians, than for tourists. It isn't close to the main sights of Venice, but it is worthy of it to come there specially. At least, this restaurant near to Frari))
Very reasonable prices for Venice and excellent house quality of food. It is best of all to take dishes from fish and seafood. Their fish lasagna is something unusual.
This restaurant belongs to a family and they are always very benevolent.
They have no site, but you will easily find them near to Piazzale Roma and about Olimpia hotel.

the best of the trip. My Boyfriend and I were doing a short trip around Slovenia and Austria, finishing up in Venice. This place was by far the best accommadation that we had on the trip and we have stayed in some nice places! The location is brilliant is it suituated beside the bus station, but let that put you off, if anything it is a plus! we had the top floor which ended up to be a apartment which was to my pleasant surprise! it was big and spacious.. and a double bed that was all one! the price was good now because of this, you really get your moneys worth! Staying in Santa Croce

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighborhood identity.
